Read moreOur friends group, known as foodies, of course had to check out the new Korean restaurant in town and we were not disappointed.🥳🤩✨ Already the restaurant design shows how much effort they put into this. 🥰🤓 We went as 4 people and the table was big enough for everything you ordered (sometimes a problem in other restaurants). 😊 The staff was super friendly and helpful, they explained everything in detail, so even ”newbies” to Korean BBQ would feel extremely welcomed. The employees were very attentive, cleaned the BBQ plate in between and filled up our banchan side dishes all the time. 😍💕 Food 🥘: absolutely delishious! We ordered even extra ribs and starters and everything was perfectly seasoned and fresh. I also loved the Teobokki as it was not too spicy. I will definitely have to come back for that one and try some more from the menu. 🤩 Yes, It’s pricier than other places and at first we were a bit afraid to stay hungry (as normally it’s all you can eat buffet) but we are were super stuffed in the end, and couldn’t even finish the vegetables.😃 The cocktail 🍹 (Jeju tonic) was also yummy and refreshing and served in a wonderful glas ( ❤️kudos for those ones who are responsible for this design ) We had 2 Soju bottles - one with Litchi flavor - which was a new one to try - 🥳🍸 and 1 bottle Makgeolli Peach flavor.
Overall, time flew and we had a fantastic evening and will definitely come back! ✨❤️✨
If I had to say something to improve, I would add some more dessert on the menu, something with chocolate and some fruits (like litchi or peach) and offer them not so overpriced as desserts are in all restaurants. After a savory BBQ you feel the need for something sweet. 🤭😇

Read moreAs a Korean cuisine enthusiast living in Asia and originally from California—where I frequent Koreatown—Chingu BBQ & Sojubar absolutely exceeded my expectations. This was our very first meal upon arriving in Stockholm, and it set the tone for an incredible trip.
From the moment we walked in, the hospitality was outstanding. The staff took the time to explain the entire dining experience: everything from the order in which to cook the meats, to where their ingredients are sourced. It wasn’t just dinner—it was a full cultural experience. I’ve been to Seoul twice in the last month, and I can genuinely say the flavors and presentation here are just as authentic as anything I’ve had in Korea or Koreatown back home.
We ordered the fixed set with wagyu beef, and every bite was rich, tender, and full of flavor. The quality of the meat was exceptional, and the attention to detail in both preparation and presentation stood out. I especially appreciated the unlimited banchan (side dishes)—a detail that really reflects the traditional Korean BBQ experience.
The ambiance is thoughtfully designed, stylish yet warm, with an aesthetic that adds to the entire dining experience. A fun surprise was finding Asahi’s non-alcoholic beer, which I’ve only ever come across in Tokyo—such a thoughtful touch for guests with different preferences.
This restaurant may be new, but they’re doing everything right. The authenticity, quality, and genuine hospitality place them on par with top spots in Seoul and Los Angeles. Whether you’re a Korean BBQ connoisseur or a first-timer, Chingu is absolutely...
