Our friends group, known as foodies, of course had to check out the new Korean restaurant in town and we were not disappointed.🥳🤩✨ Already the restaurant design shows how much effort they put into this. 🥰🤓 We went as 4 people and the table was big enough for everything you ordered (sometimes a problem in other restaurants). 😊 The staff was super friendly and helpful, they explained everything in detail, so even ”newbies” to Korean BBQ would feel extremely welcomed. The employees were very attentive, cleaned the BBQ plate in between and filled up our banchan side dishes all the time. 😍💕 Food 🥘: absolutely delishious! We ordered even extra ribs and starters and everything was perfectly seasoned and fresh. I also loved the Teobokki as it was not too spicy. I will definitely have to come back for that one and try some more from the menu. 🤩 Yes, It’s pricier than other places and at first we were a bit afraid to stay hungry (as normally it’s all you can eat buffet) but we are were super stuffed in the end, and couldn’t even finish the vegetables.😃 The cocktail 🍹 (Jeju tonic) was also yummy and refreshing and served in a wonderful glas ( ❤️kudos for those ones who are responsible for this design ) We had 2 Soju bottles - one with Litchi flavor - which was a new one to try - 🥳🍸 and 1 bottle Makgeolli Peach flavor. Overall, time flew and we had a fantastic evening and will definitely come back! ✨❤️✨ If I had to say something to improve, I would add some more dessert on the menu, something with chocolate and some fruits (like litchi or peach) and offer them not so overpriced as desserts are in all restaurants. After a savory BBQ you feel the need for something sweet. 🤭😇 I already recommended it to all my friends. ☺️🤓😎

As a Korean cuisine enthusiast living in Asia and originally from California—where I frequent Koreatown—Chingu BBQ & Sojubar absolutely exceeded my expectations. This was our very first meal upon arriving in Stockholm, and it set the tone for an incredible trip. From the moment we walked in, the hospitality was outstanding. The staff took the time to explain the entire dining experience: everything from the order in which to cook the meats, to where their ingredients are sourced. It wasn’t just dinner—it was a full cultural experience. I’ve been to Seoul twice in the last month, and I can genuinely say the flavors and presentation here are just as authentic as anything I’ve had in Korea or Koreatown back home. We ordered the fixed set with wagyu beef, and every bite was rich, tender, and full of flavor. The quality of the meat was exceptional, and the attention to detail in both preparation and presentation stood out. I especially appreciated the unlimited banchan (side dishes)—a detail that really reflects the traditional Korean BBQ experience. The ambiance is thoughtfully designed, stylish yet warm, with an aesthetic that adds to the entire dining experience. A fun surprise was finding Asahi’s non-alcoholic beer, which I’ve only ever come across in Tokyo—such a thoughtful touch for guests with different preferences. This restaurant may be new, but they’re doing everything right. The authenticity, quality, and genuine hospitality place them on par with top spots in Seoul and Los Angeles. Whether you’re a Korean BBQ connoisseur or a first-timer, Chingu is absolutely worth the visit.

Went with two friends on opening weekend. The place looks phenomenal! Such a cool vibe. I got there early with a friend and sat at the bar downstairs where we had the most amazing drinks. Super cool atmosphere with great drinks and want to go back to the bar. Upstairs had a similar vibe. Overall really cool and we thought the food was very good. We were three women who had the chingu set and a kimchi pajeon. We left full and satisfied and overall I thought the food was great. My only complaint is I thought the service was weirdly lackluster. After being seated it took us 20 minutes to flag down a waiter to take our order. Mind you we were seated amongst a couple of big groups so the waiters were always coming by. I'm not sure if our table just slipped their notice but it did feel like we always had to grab attention to get to the next step. Then when we got our food they forgot to give us the tongs and scissors needed to cook the food. Again, a bit frustrating especially as the whole point is that we have to cook the food ourselves 😅 Lastly, it took ages for us to flag down a waiter to be able to pay and leave. I don't normally mind but it feels a bit ridiculous to constantly try to get attention when it felt like they were giving a lot of attention to bigger tables 😕 None of this is major and it might have been due to the opening weekend stress but I hope these issues get sorted out. Also, to be fair they did check in on us a couple of times during the dinner so it wasn't completely awful service. Just some minor things. I would definitely go back again!

🌟 1. Atmosphere & Design

Nestled in Norrmalm on Mäster Samuelsgatan, Chingu offers a sleek, modern interior that balances polished comfort with vibey social energy. The table grills are paired with professional overhead extractors, keeping the air crisp and clothes fresh. Lighting is warm yet vibrant, perfect for both intimate dinners and lively gatherings.

👨‍🍳 2. Service & Hospitality

Staff guide guests through the interactive barbecue ritual—setting the grill, explaining the cuisine, and offering pro tips to achieve ideal doneness. They’re attentive, knowledgeable, and ready to support both BBQ novices and seasoned grillers.

🍽 Food & Menu

Set Menus – Polished & Varied

Chingu’s set menus simplify the experience while offering upscale variety : • Chingu Set (499 kr/person): 250g of premium cuts including Swedish chicken thigh, Spanish brisket, Uruguayan entrecôte Prime‑5, and gochujang-marinated pork—served with rice, lettuce, three sauces, and five banchan (kimchi, bean sprouts, pickled radish, cucumber, sweet potato noodles). • Premium Set (699 kr/person): Takes it further with Japanese A5 Wagyu, Iberico pork, and Irish bulgogi—a truly indulgent selection. • Vegetarian Set (449 kr/person): A creative mix of tofu, tempeh, halloumi, vegetables, rice cakes, and mushrooms.

Add‑Ons & A La Carte

Guests can customize via premium add-ons like ribeye, skirt steak, Iberico pork loin, or vegetarian delights such as kimchi rice croquettes and halloumi fries.

Starters & Shareables

Tuck into starters like tteokbokki, pajeon, mandu, Korean fried chicken, or yukhoe (Korean beef tartare)—great for sharing and warming up before the main grilling session.

🍹 Drinks & Soju Experience

Chingu’s bar program is thoughtfully crafted: classic soju variants, Korean cocktails with unique twists (like the gochu mule or melona sour), Japanese sake, European wines, and signature non-alcoholic versions—all expertly paired to complement the BBQ flavors . A highlight is their soju cocktails that balance tradition with creativity.

💎 3. Ambience & Social Vibes

Dining at Chingu is inherently social—centered around communal grilling, sharing, and conversation. The energy is lively without being loud, making it perfect for gatherings or casual upscale dates. The mix of functional elegance and lively interaction is a win.

Final Verdict:

Chingu BBQ & Soju Bar in Stockholm brilliantly elevates the Korean BBQ experience. It blends high-quality ingredients, interactive grilling, and inventive drinks in a polished yet vibrant setting. Whether you’re a BBQ enthusiast or just seeking a refined night out, Chingu delivers on ambiance, flavor, and social energy.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — A top-tier, modern dining gem that captures the best of Korean BBQ with Scandinavian flair. 10/10...
