Five Guys in Stockholm offers a burger that's acceptable but falls short of expectations, especially considering the premium price point. While the burger itself was passable—adequate flavor but nothing memorable—the fries disappointed with their soft texture lacking any satisfying crunch, though flavor-wise they were acceptable.
Considering the price-to-value ratio, I'd rate Five Guys around 1.5 stars, meaning it's hardly worth visiting unless you're out of other options. To put this in perspective:
★★★★★ (5): Worth a special trip (e.g., Funky Chicken)
★★★★☆ (4): Worth a detour (e.g., Franky's)
★★★☆☆ (3): Worth a visit (e.g., Phil's, Bun Meat Bun)
★★☆☆☆ (2): OK only if no other choices (e.g., McDonald's)
★☆☆☆☆ (1): Not worth visiting
The restaurant's justification for high prices—claiming ingredient costs—is questionable at best. When comparing to their U.S. locations and adjusting for purchasing power parity using the Big Mac Index, Stockholm's Five Guys should only be approximately 7% pricier. Yet, in reality, the markup is around 40%. This discrepancy suggests inefficiency or corporate greed, neither of which adds value for customers. The high price simply doesn't justify the mediocre quality provided, particularly when numerous other burger establishments in Stockholm offer far superior quality at a comparable price point.
Additionally, the ambiance was chaotic, with a disorganized crowd of people anxiously waiting for their orders, making for an uncomfortable dining experience. The wait time was excessively long, further detracting from the overall experience. The location itself was fairly dirty, and seating was inadequate, adding to the discomfort.
Interestingly, there's a noticeable skew in their reviews, with numerous 5-star ratings coming from accounts with only one or two reviews compared to more active reviewers who rate them lower. This could potentially indicate manipulated ratings, raising concerns about the authenticity of customer feedback, though it's plausible that first-time reviewers are simply more polarized.
In summary, Stockholm's Five Guys is overpriced, underwhelming, dirty, and disorganized—fine if you're desperate, but certainly not...

I finally had the chance to visit the new Five Guys at Sergels Torg, and it was everything I hoped for and more! The moment I walked in, I was greeted by the familiar red-and-white decor and the enticing aroma of freshly grilled burgers and fries.
What I Loved:
Customizable Burgers: I got to build my burger just the way I like it, choosing from a variety of free toppings. The result? A juicy, flavorful masterpiece that satisfied all my cravings. Hand-Cut Fries: The fries were crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and served in generous portions. I opted for the Cajun-style seasoning, which added a delightful kick. Milkshakes: I couldn't resist trying their famous milkshake. I went with the peanut butter flavor, and it was rich, creamy, and absolutely indulgent. Friendly Atmosphere: The staff were welcoming and efficient, and the overall vibe was lively and fun. It felt like a little slice of America right in Stockholm. A Few Things to Note:
Price Point: The meal was a bit on the pricier side compared to other fast-food options in the city. A bacon cheeseburger, fries, and a drink can add up. However, considering the quality and portion sizes, I found it to be worth the splurge. Seating: The place can get quite busy, especially during peak hours. If you're planning to dine in, try to go during off-peak times to secure a comfortable spot. Final Thoughts:
If you're in Stockholm and craving a hearty, American-style burger experience, Five Guys at Sergels Torg is a must-visit. The food is delicious, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is vibrant. Just be prepared for a slightly higher price tag—but in my opinion, it's a tasty treat...
Read moreAbsolutely don't recommend it, but you can try to trow your money in the lake. Customer service is horrible, got my order wrong 3 times! And I even was showing on menu list what I needed. I ordered 2 burgers, but got 1 instead, and when I came back to order one more ,I showed them reciept so it would be easier for them to take the order, BUT they messed up again ,and gave me cheeseburger ,instead of bacon cheese. And when I pointed on their mistake, cassier lied to me that they gonna replace it with the right one, but they didn't. They should have been honest at least.
Burger's not worth even 50 sek. Meat is absolutely tasteless. Buns were cold, but fries were alright.
Free salty peanuts are cool signature, as well as mayo refill and some vinegar. Drinks machine is good with many choices.
Oldstyle numbers announce is discomforting. Workers scream very loud the numbers and its absolutely discomfortable. No space for waiting the orders.
Prices are unacceptable. Burger King, Max and McDonald's are better in every possible way.
I would only recommend Bacon Milkshake as a one time experience. It is fun to try.
They carry trash through all restaurant, it's not nice.
In general, avoid at all cost. Waste of money and nerves. I predict it to close within 2 years or at least not expand. Noone is going to comeback there twice, unless they are masochistic...
