Duvel Café — Restaurant in Stockholm

The food was surprisingly blend, the (expensive) bits of tenderloin were very small, and the service was awful.

They lost our bungled our initial order, took it again, and apparently forgot the dessert the second time so we were waiting a long time for nothing. No apology for this was heard, only faces showing us how bothersome we were for asking where our missing food was.

The personnel were mostly uninterested in us and our wellbeing during the evening, and when we tried to get some attention apparently we had waved at the wrong waitress, who didn't bother to let "our" waitress know that we were waiting.

We were there on a business dinner, trying to have a conversation. While we were waiting for the dessert, another waiter came and started cleaning and setting tables around us - while shouting to his colleague in the other room! Completely ignoring that they had something called "paying guests" in the restaurant, he acted as the restaurant was empty.

We were deeply disappointed, and we will definitely go elsewhere in the future.

I'm not even sure where to start. Entered and waited. Not greeted. It felt like there were few staff and once someone came it felt like we were putting him out. He was quite unhelpful with food questions (one vegetarian, one celiac) and there was only one choice for each. This seemed to frustrate the server (45$ for the one dish offered!) The food was brought by someone else and when we asked what happened to our server, he had left for the night and no one was responsible for our table (that's ok! No server to tip) Food was only ok. This place has all the appearance but no substance. First of all: what’s with all the asparagus dishes on the lunch menu? None of us were tempted eating asparagus, so we ordered Caesar salad. It came with an appetiser which also turned out to be guess what? Yeah! A small portion of Cesar salad. The Parmesan was the cheap bland type, the sauce way too garlicky, the chicken was cold from the fridge, chewy, and at least a few days old. The bacon was exactly the same, not crispy at all.
