The things started on the wrong foot: we had booked a table but there was no host in the entrance. So had to wait 10 min before a waiter approached us.
The “highlight” of the place (pomme frite) were burnt, and too salted and contained a lot of small left-over pieces.
I ordered steak tartar and asked to take out the Dijon mustard from the mustard-mayo that was written in the menu. Ended up with just a plain minced beef with few pickles aside. Not chopped, rather minced. Guess what… the “tartar” tasted exactly like a plain minced beef, also, not of the greatest quality…
After some time the waiter asked if we liked our dishes. I told him exactly what I mentioned above. There was an awkward silence for a long moment and then the waiter just left. I was hoping to be offered another dish or some kind of assistance, but seems like it was too much to ask.

Stockholm has a lot of great pubs and restaurants, but I would argue Pressklubben is the absolute best if you love Belgian ales, beers, etc. There are a couple of others, but I keep coming back here. The atmosphere is genteel, with a little older clientele, so conversation is easy - you can hear yourself think. The restaurant is delicious and even the food from the bar menu is tasty enough to make it your evening dinner.
Best, though, is the beer. Jens behind the bar knows his stuff and the rotating selection is always interesting. The "Wall of Belgian Beers" is a feast for the eyes, with more variety than I could go...
