We went in a group of four and I was eager to try out several things so I got: pickled herring 3 ways: mustard sauce, some white sauce, and pickled onions and lingonberry pie with red onion, sour cream and roe meatballs with mashed potatoes, pickled cucumbers and lingonberries and gravy lingonberry parfait local single malt whisky Merlot wine I did not pair the drinks with the dish because I drink water on the side of the dishes and anything else on the side of the conversation. The pickled herring selection did its job as an appetizer since it got me wanting to try more of this spot's offering. The sourness of the pickled fish and the tangy sauces that it was prepared in registered on my taste buds. Each of the three variants had its distinctive character, such that saying "I had some pickled fish" doesn't do it justice. It's light and preps you for more so try this out. The pie was a hot appetizer and it was balanced as you'd expect from a main, but the portion was small like an appetizer. It consisted of small slice of what tasted like potato pie or otherwise something starchy. The other ingredients came placed on the side but I stacked them evenly on the top crust. Fist the sour cream, then the roe, the red onion and finally squeezed the lemon juice over everything. Then cut a small piece that goes through all the layers and get ready for the assault on your tongue. The sourness and freshness of the lemon, the distinctive flavor of roe, the pinch of the onion, the fatty sour cream are all wrapped and amplified by the pie. A very well rounded dish indeed. When the meatballs came I figured nothing impressive. It looked like what you find at the Ikea restaurant with some extra pickled cucumbers and I really thought it won't stand up to the appetizers. I was wrong. The dish is indeed pretty much what you see at Ikea, but the details make miles of difference. The meat was much more fresh and succulent, registering its own taste and not relying on the gravy to cover up any blandness. The cucumbers were thinly sliced and the vinegar used was light so they were sour, but not overpowering the other elements. The lingonberry was sweet-sour, adding a note of freshness to the meal. The gravy was hearty, warm, imbuing everything and signaling this is a main dish made to settle your hunger. As with the pie, the potatoes rounded everything off and provided the base for everything else to mix on. After such a feast, the lingonberry parfait was exactly the dessert I needed. Simple, fruity, full of freshness to counter the heavy gravy of the main. It was the proper way to end supper. The single malt was from Mackmyra, a Swedish distillery. I haven't tried this particular brand before, but it was good for a chat with friends. The smell gave me the impression that it had a high ABV, but when I had a taste, it did not give me that burning sensation that you'd expect. It has some light smokyness that might put off people who are not into these kinds of whiskies, but I enjoyed it. I cannot attest to the quality of the wine since I am not an experienced drinker of it. But we all agreed that it was good. The spot does not have many seats but it houses many nice decorative elements. In theme with its name there are vintage cameras, boots and maps that give off the traveller vibe. To top it off there was a live jazz trio (sax, cello and drums) playing and the whole atmosphere was lively. The place was kind of crowded, probably due to the live band. There aren't many seats and they are quite close to each other, so moving around you might exchange a few pardons with the other patrons, but it's all in...

I had a really weird experience here. I was waiting by the sign which was writing "wait here to be sitted" for at least 5 min. Nobody came and show myself to the nearest table. A waiter came and ask me if I would like a drink and brought me the menu. After a while he came back with a jar of water and some bread and butter. I ordered an appetizer and my main which they came really quickly. The chef served the main dish himself. At some point I dropped my forg and asked for a other one. The waitress told I will bring one right away. Never happened so I got one myself. Finished my meal asked for the bill same response "right await", never came I went to the counter myself. At the next table two other customers had even more difficult time. The asked for the menu twice no response. They got it themselves. They were waiting to order nobody went by their table. Everybody seemed busy but they were so relaxed. They ended up leaving. I payed my bill I got a drink and went outside to enjoy the live music. It was really nice. It was Saturday night and it was a bit busy. Nothing could excuse the really bad and slow service. Everybody seemed to be in their own bubble operating in their own patterns. Anyhow I had a great time it is a lovely place in a beautiful city. Hope you have better experience than I did. Try it's worth it, I may have been unlucky that night. It had a nice...

Unfortunately, my friends and I did not get a very good service. We booked in avance, since yesterday they told us they were full. We arrived at the right time, 8:30, but the waiter told us that there was an issue with the booking, and that if we waited 10ish minutes we could have a table. We waited a bit longer, outside, because there was no room inside. We finally had a table, but it was a tiny thing more suited for 2 people, and I had to sit in front of the bathroom corridor where there was a cold breeze. We waited a while for the menus, and when we ordered it was around 21:25. We got our food around 21:45. The waitress apologized because there was no reindeer left, so we changed our plans.
The food was fantastic - my friends and I all took a "rillette", aka pulled board spread on a biscotte with pickled red onion and sage. The meat was tender, tasty and delicious, the onion bits were crispy and the sage was a perfect addition. I thoroughly recommend the rillette.
I think the price was 135 SEK. It was recommended to take three dishes, and with each dish, a snap for around 70-90 SEK a glass. If you take 3 dishes and 3 snaps, the price actually goes up quite a bit. My friends and I sept on it because since it was so late, we wanted to just eat something small and leave.
In conclusion, the food is amazing and I really recommend it. But the experience was not very good for us. I still really...
