Plate lickers paradise. 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽 Not kidding. You will want to lick every plate of every dish you order clean. Every dish is a work of art and the staff will give you detailed information of how it was made. This is not the type if restaurant where you order one or two dishes and be full. Think of it more as an experience. I recommend to order 5-6 dishes per person and let them decide on the order they will be served in. If you are two people just order 10 different dishes and share because most of them include two of the thing you ordered. At least get one of the specials from the chalkboard. Cocktails and desserts are very good as well. We traveled up and down the baltic coast of Sweden from Hamburg, Germany to Sarek National Park and back and this was by far the most memorable food we ate on the way. I would surely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Japanese cuisine and is fine with spending a little extra, because it’s definitely not on the cheap side. But considering what quality you are getting the price is totally fine. For two people we spent around 1500SEK and went home slightly tipsy and weren’t hungry until late breakfast around 11. You will be eating mostly proteins, fats and veggies here. Not a lot of carbs on the menu besides some deep fried dishes. The ingredients are of great quality and you’ll be able to taste it. These guys sure know how to work their grill to perfection 👌🏼✨The bar has a great selection and they also serve some cocktails which you can’t get...
Read moreWow! What an experience. Long story short - this is a must try for those missing the izakaya experience in Japan but with a touch of fine dining.
First the food - small dishes packed with loads of flavour. Each plate is carefully sculpted for sharing between two people, so it's advised to order at least 6 to 7 items on the menu for a filling experience. If you feel intimidated by the options, then they have an option called Omakase where they simply pick things for you.
My absolute top recommendations from the main menu are "Butabara" and "Rossini Caviar". Extremely delicious!
There was a lot going on around 17.00 when we had our booking. Service, which were many, seemed to be all over the place so there was a small amount of extra waiting time when we were ready to place various requests. The service itself was very friendly and informed us the minute details of every dish that came out.
The ambience felt in a way similar to an izakaya. A bit tight between tables and a lovely aroma of charcoal in the air. Amazing looking dishes coming out of the kitchen inspiring you to try out one more item.
Reservation times were pretty tough to find on optimal days (Fri - Sat) so try to book well in advance.
Overall, very highly...
Read moreMy friend and I ordered the omakase tasting menu at 750 SEK per person. The ambiance was very nice, and we were excited about the food. However, we were disappointed on several counts throughout the evening: 1) Although we ordered the tasting menu, we received only a few servings. We observed that other tables, who ordered the same menu, got more dishes that we were never served. After just three small dishes, the waiter came and announced the end of our service. We had to point out that this couldn't be correct, after which she realized we had only been served the starter courses. Ultimately, we calculated that if we had ordered the same dishes à la carte, it would have cost approximately 450 SEK per person, significantly less than the 750 SEK we paid for the tasting menu. 2) We waited 15 minutes to receive our drinks for all of three orders, which only arrived after we reminded the waiter. 3) The dishes were excessively salty, which was particularly unpleasant given the delay in our drink service. In total, we paid 2400 SEK for two people, yet left feeling hungry and...
