Ängel or Aff — Restaurant in Basel

It was one of my local haunts when I lived in Basel and it's been 21 years since I went back. Its.still the same, great vibe and romantic. A small selection but high quality cakes are offered, a mixed black board menu of meat and vegetarian dishes and lovely staff! Ok. Rare I post anything negative but it's got to be mentioned. Angel staff, it's unexceptable for your guests to change their babies nappies right near to where people are eating. They need to do it elsewhere or set up a baby room/corner. Croissants might very well be the best in town! But the lady selling them makes you want to rather buy the worst croissants in town on the other side of town. Rude, improper and keeps her earpods in.

If you don’t care about quality and want to just drink something in a chill area then is the place for you. I have gotten a cappuccino (6fr) and a glass of tap water (4fr.) The cappuccino is fast made, no caring about how to make a nice and creamy foam and the coffee is no good at all (unfortunately me and my friend didn’t even drink it in the end).
