A straightforward and simple, yet refreshing concept. Toby and Tim manage to create a super welcoming atmosphere, serving high quality, seasonal "finger-food" and local beer. We tried one of each of the topped breads and found the taste and quality to be fantastic. The beef tartar and trout toppings were our favorites - however, the pumpkin and red beet were very delicious as well. A good place to stop, welcoming and by the looks of the many happy customers, the food looked good too. When paying, Tim was most helpful directing us to a restaurant where we enjoyed a traditional Swiss meal and equally welcoming host. Read moreI only got a latte macchiato, do NOT recommend. It has basically no coffee in it. I know latte macchiatos are a lot of milk with an espresso, but literally this tasted like just milk. If you ask for a doppio, it's 10.50 for the coffee. Everywhere else in basel you just pay 1 more franc for a doppio. The atmosphere is good, the interior design is cool, the service pretty good.
