VERY RUDE young girl at the ice cream stand. i smiled and said hi twice thinking she didn’t hear the first time and she never acknowledge me once.

new ice cream was being topped up and her colleague was very friendly as i was excited about some flavours but she continued to look unhappy. even after her colleague left, i waited for 10-15mins as she just arranged all her ice cream and tags without acknowledging me. it was super awkward, i would have left if not for my mum who wanted to have some ice cream on a hot day. refused to buy for myself

when i finally made my purchase, she just said “that’s all” as i was preparing pay and when i didn’t hear, she literally shouted “THATS ALL” at me! i was shocked. literally my worst experience with service staff on my whole Swiss trip. I had the pleasure of visiting Petite Royal in Zermatt for an afternoon coffee and cake, and what an incredible experience it was! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The coffee was perfectly brewed, rich, and smooth – truly a delight. As a barista by trade, this is hands down the best cafe in Zermatt. They know their coffee and serve it many ways to your satisfaction. Their hot chocolate is also excellent according to my wife, made consistently well. We visited 6 times in 3 days that how highly we rated it. The atmosphere is fantastic, really nice cakes and they sell chocolate too. Always busy and can be hard to find a table(we were lucky to score one six times) but worth the perseverance. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and nothing seems to difficult for them.
