The restaurant is located on the main promenade in Zermatt. It has a large sunny terrace and a huge interior, so it is also suitable for larger groups of people. It's an Italian restaurant. This time we sat inside and for lunch we chose homemade tagliatelle with smoked salmon and cream sauce, special risotto with calamari (at first they brought us something else, but then they changed the food to the one we really ordered). We ordered pizza in the shape of a bunny and children's pasta from the children's menu. Everything tasted great, you can even choose the portion size for some dishes. There are also a variety of Italian specialties to buy and take home, including wines. This time the service was not the nicest and they completely forgot to bring us some things, but we have been here several times and we always like to come back here, because they cook excellently and compared to others, they also have very good prices. Food tasted good. Nothing outstanding, especially for the high price. The Menu is not designed for a family and very confusing. No English on the menu, not great considering most tourists speak English. Service was very slow. Bread was burned, pizza was burned, no tap water to serve. Apparently, it is against company policy to serve a picture of water. They brought out still water and sparkling water in tiny cravats. I asked if he could bring the entire bottle of still water since we paid for it, and was told no… I wonder if they’re actually using tap and paying for bottled tap. Our glasses had food stuck to it from a previous user, and when we asked for a new glass, waiter told us we were wrong. It was a water stain. (See photo…) We asked three times over the period of 20 minutes to bring oil to dip for bread and butter and it was 25 minutes before we got it. It took almost 45 minutes for the hors d’oeuvres to come out. Food for the price was not a good deal. We had eight people and not one commented positively on the food or the service. Disappointed! I would not eat here again.

Truly agreed with Nicholaa Green, the bald waiter(shorter one) is absolutely rude and unwelcome. When I got in and asked for a table for 2, he was mumbling and showed a bad facial expression, he told me to sit anywhere but I’d have to wait for an hour then he just turned and went away. It wasn't crowded at all, indoor tables were all empty. I was shocked about his attitude, but I felt curious so I went to ask another waiter if I had to wait for an hour because the bald guy told me, he was so surprised too and said “No no, only 15 minutes after you ordered.” then he glanced at the bald guy and talked to the female waitress in Italian, probably he knew the bald guy’d do sth bad again. This guy was much better than him, at least he’d ask if my wife and I would share the pizza and pasta as east asians usually do. We ordered the Quattro Stagioni and Carbonara, both were delicious and portion is large. The restaurant was cosy and at the middle class, it would rate much higher if the bald guy doest not work here anymore and now it is 3 because of this bad experience. What a shame.

We have been going to Molino several years very regularly, usually for a snack after a hike. As we always eat the same - Foccacia al rosmarino, roasted veggetables and some wine, I can only say this is always very delicious. Over the years it is interesting to see how different cooks prepare it, especially the vegetables - today they have been the best! We also get a very good service but we never go there when the place is super busy. The best time is early afternoon. It was also one of the few restaurants that were serving food during the lockdown so we really appreciated it. See you soon!

Pass by this place and decided to give it a try. Was served by this female waitress who is apparently very racist. She do not want to serve us until we approach her. When we order, she did not bother writing down our order, end up, we have missing order. We informed her and she just raise her shoulder. The rest of the waiters are ok, it’s just her. So if you are coming here, make sure you’re not serve by the female waitress. Her name is Sonia Patricia. Food is mediocre by the way.

The pizza was really good, can tell it was freshly made and oven-fired, they even offer DIY pizzas that allowed some form of customization which was great. We felt the pizzas were the best, secondly was the pasta with seafood, the lasagna and the carbonara was okay. The service staff was friendly and accommodating even though we didn't had a prior reservation. Good place to fill your tummy with nice food. Will come and have a meal here again should I come visit Zermatt again
