If you are looking for a warm and welcoming restaurant with delicious food and a friendly atmosphere, this place is a must-visit. From the moment we arrived the staff made us feel right at home with their attentive and genuinely friendly service.
We started our meal with a classic tartar, which was fresh, well seasoned and a great way to beginn our dining experience. For mains, we opted for the cheese fondue and the hot stone Rumpsteak. The cheese fondue was rich, creamy and full of flavour - perfect for a cozy meal. The hot stone Rumpsteak was a highlight; cooking it yourself at the table added a fun, interactive element and the quality of the meat was excellent. However a small heads up: since many guests order the hot stone dishes, you should expect to leave with a lingering food aroma on your clothes.
To finish we indulged in the chocolate fondue, which was just as delightful as it sounds. The smooth rich chocolate paired perfectly with the selection of dipping treats, marking for a satisfying and indulgent ending to our meal.
Overall, this restaurant offers a fantastic dining experience with great food, a friendly team and a cozy atmosphere. Just be prepared for the delicious smells to follow you home! Would...
Read moreMain courses like the the meat on hot plates tasted fantasticly and are worth a visit. The same goes for the atmpsphere while you dine. It has it‘s charm, is well lit and makes you feel comfortable. However, the coffee in the end was terrible and watery for the second time already we were there. I dont recommend to get a coffee after your fine dinner.
The staff seemed very friendly and helpful, yet a bit overwhelmed. Despite having a reservation, the we had to wait for 10 minutes. During this time, no one seemed to offer to take the jackets or offer a seat at the bar, which would be appropriate for such a higher end restaurant. All the typical swiss main courses like „Rösti“ where already sold out at 9pm, which seemed a little off for a high quality restaurant.
The servers where helpful and friendly but did not all...
Read morePros: Beautiful restaurant and decoration (even though it’s in a basement). Tasty Food
Cons: -Waiter was young, arrogant, snotty and gave us poor service (although not to the table next to us who spoke German and was clearly spending more money than we were -table of 4 vs. table of 2).
-A woman could almost kill herself going into the bathroom, just be aware. Door opens into three downwards steps, and on the way in theres no lights. There is however a minuscule sign in German that warns of a falling risk...
Overall, I’d try it again, the ambiance was super cozy and comfortable (as long as I wasn’t subjected to the same waiter), and would treat the poor service experience as a fluke. I’d like to think in a touristy and super expensive place suce as Zermatt, a foreigner is treated better than what we...
