This place runs on africa time, pretty slow by all accounts and took 40mins to make one plate of chips on a quiet day. Very comfortable seating and nice if you wana catch a quick cooldrink while walking past. This cafe contrasts the night market quite well. It’s very cool to sit here around sunset and watch kids doing all kinds of flips into the water when it is high tide...

This is the only place in Stone Town open at 7am according to Maps but when we came all the way with our kids and were trying to sit down the first thing the man running the place yelled at us is to “get out” because they open at 8am. Rarely been treated this rudely, this man should not be running a cafe. Will...

We are arrived after 7 am where google maps indicated it is open, the staff shouted at us “WE ARE NOT OPEN” where the seating is part of the park, we had to tell him off and watch his tone with families knowing we just came because they didn’t updated their working...
