Coffee Madness II is right on Samsen Road, not far from the madness of Khaosan Road. Run by really young people, it's a café mainly for hot and cold beverages and western-style baked goods - think croissants, muffins and brownies. Prices are modest, seating is on two floors and hard to come by on a good day. There are three pretty tables and chair sets with matching floors on the ground floor, with a few stools and lean-back chairs outdoors directly overlooking the road. It's good for people-watching on busy evenings or relaxing with a book or journal on lazy, slow days. The more spacious second floor is far more interesting, with an eclectic design, varied seating and brilliant natural light pouring in through a huge window at the front of the building. Potted plants are aesthetically placed all over the restaurant including the pretty washroom. The toast I ordered was of white bread, but came with some heavenly blueberry jam and peanut butter. The iced americano was super-chilled and sugar-free, just as ordered. Overall, a nice hour spent both indoors and outdoors catching up with my social media and enjoying a delectable after-lunch...
