Phordee Bistro — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

We really enjoyed our meal at Phordee Bistro. We stopped by early on a Friday evening and had no problem getting a table. Service was attentive and friendly from start to finish. We were craving Northern Thai specialties so we shared the sausage, larb, tom yum soup with seafood, and papaya salad. Everything was extremely tasty and we were very pleased with our meal! We were also asked about spice levels on most dishes so adjustments can be made on most dishes to suit your comfort level. Wow! The best meal I've had in months. This place is amazing. Flavor that just grabs you by the taste buds and takes you on a journey.

The pad Thai was easily the best I've ever eaten. I have a whole new appreciation for what I considered to be an overrated dish.

The pineapple fried rice was so smokey with a subtle sweetness that we both loved.

The som tum with the fish was freakishly good. It paired so well together. Easily the best som tum I've tried in Thailand.

Last was the shrimp cakes which were crunchy and exactly what I wanted.

So after many eats during our holiday it's quite a challenge to pick a winner when it comes to which restaurant was the best. This restaurant comes very close being just that.

The food was authentic, fresh, incredibly tasty and presented with much care. The people working there greet you with much enthusiasm and provide good service.
