My friend and I stayed at the landmark hotel across the street and stopped by for dinner as we saw the restaurant for 2 days with several occupied tables- so we thought food would be good. Don’t be fool. I like spicy food but my chicken basil was beyond spicy, I did eat anyway.i also ordered a meat plate- don’t be fool by the picture. I ordered medium rare, it came tiny cut slices, overcooked. My friend, who cannot handle spicy food, ordered a chickeb Pad thai, which was also beyond spicy- so she returned the plate - explaining to the non speak English waitress using google translator that the pad thai was too spicy. First her ordered was messed up to shrimp pad Thai, returned it. She also order seabass, which apparently was re-heated. The table beside us was also having issues with their order being mixed up - fried rice was wrong, the pork plate they ordered was also too spicy. Guess what, the manager, who also didn’t understand English charged for the pad thai that was returned pretty much untouched after one bite and that was replaced by a non spicy version. I’m telling you, I like spicy but that was really too much even for me. I then, tried the salad dressing that came with the seabass, ohhh wow think about salty like really salty!! Beer was warm, like barely cold, which may be ok for certain cultures but not for our standards especially considering such warm weather- skip the beer and go for coke- a lot colder than the beer. Resuming: a no-no place to go. We profoundly...
Read moreI am writing to express my extreme disappointment with my recent dining experience at this establishment. As a frequent visitor to this restaurant during my trips to Bangkok, I have always found the food to be decent, the ambiance enjoyable, and the prices reasonable. However, my most recent visit was anything but satisfactory. I was initially intrigued by the display of live mud crabs and decided to order one, as I had enjoyed it prepared in the same way on previous occasions. Unfortunately, my experience took a turn for the worse from which I suspected a substitution of the live crab I selected with a seemingly dead one. I expressed my dissatisfaction to multiple staff members, but instead of addressing my concerns, I was met with indifference and shrugged off. To add insult to injury, I was charged the full price for a dish I could barely eat due to its odor and poor quality. Needless to say, this experience has left a sour taste in my mouth and hopefully not with a bad stomach the next day. I am deeply disappointed by the lack of accountability and customer service demonstrated by this establishment and don’t think I will visit again...
Read moreIf you’re in the Nana area of Bangkok, please do yourself a favor and do not visit Nana Seafood. Simply put, this place is a false advertising tourist trap up-charging their food to the max. I visited on a Sunday night after taking a good look at their menu. The pictures showed a very different image than the meals we received. I ordered the chicken satay which was completely fine, but did not live up to the image in the menu whatsoever. There was supposed to be a small pickled salad with my meal and there was none. My Dad ordered the fried garlic shrimp which is depicted as a serving of whole shrimp in the menu. Instead, these shrimp were poorly cooked and pre-peeled. When conversing with the waiter about the difference between what we ordered and what we receive, he insisted the shrimp we got was the same as the image (very false.) We made an agreement to switch out the shrimp with the grilled squid which was also very bad and smelt rotten. The meal was overpriced and I recommend going to any other of Bangkok’s wonderful...
