Over the past several years as a Marriott Club Member, and Marriott Bonvoy card holder, we have regularly enjoyed delicious meals and great service. Yesterday was the exception. The food was substandard. There is no way it should receive a five star rating. The lamb stew was extremely fatty, the fish was dry, and the pork was so dry nobody was taking it. The broccoli soup was not even warm, the soup spoon was dirty, and the Alfredo sauce for the pasta was very bland. It was very evident that the chefs were poorly trained and their assistants didn’t know how to keep the food looking appetizing. Not much of a selection either. The best part of the meal was the coffee at the end.
Furthermore, when I went to pay the bill we were charged the full amount, not the lesser amount advertised on the board outside the restaurant. We did receive our standard discount but we weren’t told upfront that we wouldn’t be charged the advertised lower price everyone else was paying. When I made the reservation I told them that I was a Marriott Club Member and they took the required information. I brought this up with the floor manager and he took a picture of my membership and told me someone would contact me to resolve the issue. Nobody has contacted me yet. They have lost all credibility. This is a management issue. Their cooking staff need to be properly trained and the service staff need to be aware of the requirements when dealing with Marriott Club members. I would highly recommend against eating there when there are so many other great Marriott restaurants in Bangkok such as Goji or at JW Marriott that live up to their five...

While the food offerings are nothing short of impressive, the service experience introduces a touch of disappointment. An instance arises when, after ordering coffee, the staff inadvertently overlooks the request, prioritizing other patrons. A reminder becomes necessary, requiring a call after 15 minutes to prompt the staff to fulfill the order. Despite this minor hiccup, the overall dining experience remains positive, buoyed by the exceptional variety and quality of the breakfast offerings. The buffet at Renaissance Bangkok stands as a culinary haven, offering guests a memorable and satisfying start...
