If this was rated the best omakase in Bangkok, i would believe Bangkok wouldnât be a place for omakase.
Food quality was good. Rice quality and taste were on point. In fact, ingredients used was very good.
Sushi chef that served us couldnât get the rice in place with every piece of nigiri served. Rice were not intact and the Buri Sashimi was not done nicely, I could still see the flaws in the centre of the served sashimi. Soup that was served at the end of the course was Kombu soup? This is the first time Iâm having Kombu soup for omakase.
I was not expecting such a standard for a restaurant in St Regis. Lastly, for the appetiser given to me was grapes as I do not take sweets, much appreciated for this extra service but grapes served had a fishy smell. I really think if the restaurant were to keep up this 4.9 rating - thereâs a lot to improve.

The good part: very high quality, fresh ingredients, attentive staff, perfect customer service but for the price that we paid for around 6000baht per person tonight, the whole experience was disappointing because of the chef⌠I usually eat my piece by hand as soon as it was put down but I was struggling because the rice couldnât even hold. It might be the chefâs skill or the rice wasnât done right, not sure what was the reason but it did ruin the experience.
