Tummy Yummy — Restaurant in Lumphini Subdistrict

Really nice Thai restaurants in a quiet home environment. It is situated in Lumpinee area. They have a backyard outdoor area as well which gives you a very good atmosphere for a quiet evening. Access is not difficult and it's walking distance from Phlon Chit BTS. But amazingly calm and a quiet surrounding. It's a good pick for those who prefer to stay out of noisy and crowded restaurants in Bangkok.

They serve really good Thai cuisines with a good variety. You can prefer different levels of spiciness and a variety. There are a few good vegetarian dishes as well. Drinks menu is not very long. There are wines, beers and cocktails too. But you won't get spirits. I tried only wine but my colleagues said the cocktails are good too. Deserts are good too. My favourite is Mango with ice cream. Try that. Staff is good too. The one that helped us speaks good English. They provided us with a remote bell to call a waiter and they did turn up quickly. Such a hidden gem tucked away from a busy streets nearby… we are very lucky to find this little restaurant!!

The menu is extensive with all come with photos, which makes easier for you to decide as there are many interesting dishes that I’m sure you would wonder what would order..

We ordered prawn and pork lemongrass skewers, som tam with soft shell crab, pomelo salad and snow pea shoots with crispy pork… all were so delicious. They all are so flavorsome without being salty or overkilling each ingredients natural flavour.

The place is pretty small, rather visiting friends house. We wanted to sit outside but decided to not as there was a machinery noise from the building next door..

Staff was polite and accommodating our request.

The food here is AMAZING Has got to be the best pad Thai I’ve ever had in my life! The noodles were chewy and stringy (usually they rip apart easily) which I love the texture and then the flavor?! My goodness! So good

And I tried my friends lunch special: sticky rice, chicken & papaya salad! That was sooo good too! We were all perplexed as to how the chicken was so tender. I thought it was the way it was prepped. My friends thinks it was the type of chicken used.. nonetheless it was too good!

I have yet to try as good of food elsewhere in Bangkok haha will...
