Baan Ying Central World, 3rd Fl. — Restaurant in Pathum Wan Subdistrict

I was just had a VERY BAD experience in your Central World branch ! We planning to have dinner in your restaurant and waitress “Kanjana” serve us .. we actually wanted to have a sit with seat back , unfortunely she not allowed us have a sit at the inside area which she told us that area is closing even I saw there are still plently of customers still having they dinner .

Although I feel not good but I still accepted to sit on the seat arranged and start picking orders . In the meantime ... not more than 1 minutes , I saw two walkin lady wanted to seat in the ”closing area” but interesting things happened ... Ms Kanjana allowed they seat inside ....

I was shocked and feel treated with discrimination . I am so angry , and we are now arranged to give a seat that we wanted .... I wanted to give my feedback to the Manager on duty and still in a polited way , more shocked by this Manager “Mr. Num” . He treat us like naive and keep saying this is the company policy without any appologize or any movement to shows to please us ..... Of cause , I was very very angry to leave your restaurant which I came many times before and this is the first time to bring my wife here ! This experience had totally ruin our day , and I am writing here to complaint the Manager of your shop seriously as I had never treated like this in Bangkok as I always stay here for business . I would like to have your sincerely reply soon for this case . I am so unsatisfy to your manager Mr. Num and waitress Ms. Kanjana which the manager was extremely bad attitude that shows totally not care about the customers and even refuse to give me contact and his name to me even I asked ...

One mention , you have a good staff “Ms. Pimssuh” who appologize to us even thats not her problem and she was polite and take care about people .

There are many great foods in Bangkok and even in CTW ... I not suggest anyone of you to come ... we should not encourage the bad...

Braised pork with hard boiled egg just comfy and homey on the braised stew , rich and flavorful indeed. Came with 2 hard boiled egg✨

Stir-Fried Instant Noodles with Shrimps and Minced Chicken with the signature omelette egg simple stir fried instant noodle, crowned with one silky omelette. Amazingly humbling

Thai iced lemon tea and Thai iced pandan tea -rejuvenating on the hot sunny day

First time to baan ying. Reviews seemed good.

But it was disappointing.

We ordered river prawns, crab meat with egg curry, cowslip creeper and rice.

The river prawns (4 large prawns per serving) wasn't fresh. The first one I had was mushy. I thought it's just one. My dinning mate had one. She said it was fine. I had the 3rd one. Mushy again. I told the wait staff about it. She couldn't quite understand what I said (in English) and had to get another staff to serve us. After understanding the situation (that 2 prawns were not fresh), the staff took the remaining prawn back. She returns with only 2 prawns. Oh well. At least the 2 repalcment prawns were decent.

The crab meat, when it was served, the larger pieces of crab meat was not hot in the middle of it. I didn't bother getting any staffs attention on that.

The lemon grass drink was good. We love that.

I'd go to another Thai food joint (for eg kkkp) if I want local...
