⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3/5) – Kailash Parbat Phuket: Veg Food Is Good, But Honesty Matters More
We visited Kailash Parbat in Phuket multiple times during our trip because we are vegetarian, and this place does offer decent vegetarian food. The location is good, and the taste is okay, though prices are almost double compared to similar restaurants in India. They also charge VAT and service charge, unlike some other veg restaurants like Chotivala, which don’t.
However, our last experience was very disappointing.
We ordered a bread basket, and the owner himself explained that it would include four types of breads, including Masala Kulcha. But when the food came, the Masala Kulcha was missing. When we asked about it, they flatly denied ever mentioning it. This was surprising and disappointing — especially since the order was taken by the owner himself, who was visiting the Phuket branch at that time.
We didn’t want to argue — it was our last day of the trip — but we left with a bad feeling about the honesty and attitude. In a tourist place, customer trust matters, and telling lies to avoid admitting a mistake is not acceptable, especially when the customer is calm and respectful.
Food is not everything — honesty and service matter too.
We had visited this place three times, but after this, we decided not to return.
Summary:
✔️ Veg Food: Good
✔️ Location: Convenient
❌ Prices: High (with VAT + service charge)
❌ Attitude: Very poor when handling complaints
❌ Miscommunication & dishonesty by management
A fair experience overall, but we value honesty more...
Read moreWorst customer service ever and moreover the untrustworthy behaviour towards a customer. I made a phone order for delivery and the person happily took my order and asked me to share the delivery address with them on the same number WhatsApp. I was happy to find out that they were flexible to communicate over WhatsApp but only after a few one sided messages from me and about 2-3 calls realised the guy didn’t care about me or my order. Upon following up multiple times over the call to check for order confirmation, the manager said I cannot confirm the order because my software is down and I have called an engineer to restart the system. Only after that he would be able to process the order. During these calls he said he will give me confirmation or rejection in next 10 mins or so. He still hasn’t replied to my texts or hasn’t bothered to call and let me know what is the status of my order. I feel you should bring some professionalism to your behaviour and be man enough to say you can’t process my order straight up instead of delaying and dodging me or my messages. I’m an Indian person and have had great experience with the brand that you are running not just in India but also in Dubai. You’re the only exception that is pulling the whole brand down single handedly. Very disappointed, frustrated and lastly ashamed as well as you are not only spoiling an Indian brand but also causing harm to reputation of Indians worldwide by such behaviour. Respect all customers...
Read moreWe stayed in Phuket for 15 days and were vegetarian on Tuesdays, we decided to visit Kailash Parbat Central Patong for lunch. Unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing.
We ordered Dal Fry, Shahi Paneer, Indian Rice, and Lacha Paratha. The food tasted far from fresh — the Shahi Paneer gravy seemed like a ready-made packet heated and poured over paneer, and the rest of the items lacked flavor and freshness. When we requested customization, the server openly admitted that they just microwave pre-prepared food, so changes weren’t possible. This was shocking for a restaurant claiming to serve authentic Indian cuisine.
Feeling dissatisfied, we got the food packed and decided to leave. To add to the discomfort, we noticed poor service behavior with other customers too. One guest had briefly stepped away with his child, and the staff cleared his thali without asking, leading to an argument when he returned to finish his dessert.
If the restaurant is not genuinely interested in serving good Indian food or treating Indian guests well, maybe they should reconsider their positioning. Very disappointing from a brand that is supposed to represent Indian...
