Horrible pathetic service rude arrogant disgraceful staff and manager Tahir. We went here for an impromptu quick meal, they served us smelly bad sea bream fish, then refused to take it off the bill although we had sent it back immediately. They didn't offer a replacement and they were on the verge of being abusive because we refused to succum under pressure for its payment. We had with senior citizens with us, we had other dishes that we were happily paying for , instead of being hospitable and sensible they were almost abusive and 4 of them kept fighting with us hoping that we would give in. Luckily we are seasoned travelers (23 countries so far), hence we did not budge and paid only for the items on the bill that we had eaten. Overall just want to put this review to "Caution" anyone who is traveling to istanbul against this cafe. Whilst istabul is a gem and there are countless fantastic restaurants you would love avoid this one like a plague.

A very cozy place, where you can relax, eat something very good and enjoy a shisha. This place is located next to Arasta Bazar, and from the terrace you can see Blue Mosque, which is very nice. Food it is delicious, you should try the turkish pancakes ( 70 tl ), also the other food in the menu is good. Price are very good for location. Around 200 turkish lira 2 person for a meal. Tea is very good also. They have a variety of shisha, which it taste very good and they have some guys who take care of your shisha all the time. Price from 120 tl to 360 tl. After around 6PM, you can listen a band who sing traditional turkish music ( super relaxing especially with a shisha ) and some traditional turkish dances. So if you have a busy day in Istanbul, visiting all the atractions, you should try to relax, eating something traditional, smoke a shisha and listening some special turkish music, this is the place is perfect.

Saturday night 1030pm, walked in to this restaurant with my wife. The establishment had live music, which was nice, with a few tables being occupied by diners.

We ordered Adana kebab, Lamb shish and a sea bass. The Adana and shish kebab was served but the bulgar pillaf which came with the 2 dishes was cold, so had to send the dishes back to get hot bulgar. Plus they forgot to make the sea bass so was delivered late to the table , annoying...but eventually came.

Come 11pm, we are still eating, the waiter informed us that we had to settle the bill. Told him we are still eating and so find it ridiculous and rude for the restaurant asking us to settle the bill. The waiter kept on insisting saying they close at 11pm and so needs to settle the cash register. There were other diners still in the restaurant eating too. Anyway he was stating verbally how much the bill was but did not give me a bill. I insisted a bill, when I set eyes on it there was a service charge included.... Asked the waiter what is this....he said its a tip for waiters....i clamly explained I'm not happy with the service this evening....food was served cold, a main dish was forgotten to be cooked and then asked to settle the bill before we finished the meal......so I asked him, with that said ..why am I paying service charge? He quietly removed the service charge, and so I settled the bill.

Very poor service at this establishment, food did not have any wow factor, people smoking shisha that's fine, expected but there is 'no smoking' signs in the restaurant but people still light up and smoke cigarettes inside.

Would not recommend this place, stay clear...

Unfortunately, since we didn't have internet, we went without reading the comments. I won't comment on the prices because we thought the prices might be high since it's a central location, but we thought the quality was probably good. We ordered Urfa Kebab, Ali Nazik, and Gozleme. Ali Nazik is a complete disgrace. To gag a lot of pieces of meat out of our mouths. We had to cut it, it was like a string. It was very difficult to chew. When we complained about the meat, the answer you got from the waiter was: Normally lamb is like that. Well, we would believe it if we had eaten it for the first time. The waiter said, "I wish you had told us, we would have changed it." We paid 2360 TL for two flatbreads, ali gentle urfa and 4 sodas. It is approximately 70 euros at today's exchange rate. Food is not served for the price. The toilet is outside and costs 10 TL. At least it should be free for customers. The tap is outside so you can wash your hands. When we asked for the bill, he told us verbally while other customers were receiving receipts from the bookshelf. Apparently they do not want to pay taxes. To put it simply, that place is attractive for Russians and Arabs who want to smoke hookah. Choose another place to eat. The only thing that surprises me is that the criticisms made 2 years or even 5 years ago...

Discriminating and rude male waiters who scam female tourists.

After asking a waiter for the way to the toilet, he accompanied one of us outside to the public restrooms. 2 other male guests were behind and followed us. That waiter gave those 2 guests each 1 coin to enter the toilet. To me he said '10 lr for toilet'. So male guests can enter and females have to pay for the toilet?!

After complaining, the manager went to the counter. He grabbed 2 coins out of a bowl. So they had coins ready for guests!! The waiter from before tried to scam us.

Inside we asked another waiter to change the coal of our shisha. After hearing our request, he just continued walking around the restaurant without doing anything. The shisha assistants changed coals of guests at other tables but we were the only guests who had to always ask for this service!

We complained again. The manager told us that he would give us a discount on the bill for those inconveniences. When he brought the bill, we checked the total amount. And it was the same as the prices on the menu. So he lied to us!! And even yelled at us for complaining.

They wanted us to pay and leave even if we did not finish any of our drinks yet. With the excuse of a change of staff. Guess what? The same waiter still had his shift and served the...
