My daughter and some of her close friends had a wonderful time celebrating her 16th birthday having Afternoon Tea at Al Meylas Four Seasons Abu Dhabi.

The young ladies came elegantly dressed, and immediately felt right at home in the bright and sophisticated surroundings of “Al Meylas” - which translates to “a place that gathers people”.

The Afternoon tea menu at the Four Season’s is always carefully crafted but the Chef delivered an exceptional selection this time, in conjunction with “Emirati’s Women Day”. The girls feasted on specially prepared finger sandwiches and lovely and creative sweets. They were also offered hand-selected teas and non-alcoholic cocktails. The hotel even agreed to our request to arrange for Margherita pizzas (cut into delicate portions, of course) and french fries to ensure there was something familiar for their young palates to nibble on, as they enjoyed each other’s company.

The manager, Shubham, and his team really went out of their way to make sure the girls were warmly welcomed and looked after, the entire time. None of their requests was deemed too much trouble.

The Four Season prides itself with “offering only experiences of exceptional quality” and they certainly did not disappoint this time. I have no doubt this milestone birthday will be fondly remembered for many years to...

We had tea and cakes. As it was our first time there, we asked several questions about cakes, whats inside etc. The glass counter was not clean. Unfortunately the staff member did not even know how to pronounce correctly cakes names "Financier, Sacher" and it was very disappointing to hear from the luxury Four seasons brand, where we pay extra to get a good level of knowledge and service in return. While we were eating no one approached in between to ask how was our cake or drinks. I did not feel luxury and it did not justify the higher price that I pay when going to your lounge.
