Well, the food and cocktails were good, the live music was really nice and the atmosphere was cool in general but, i went with 2 of my work colleagues and we were checking the happy hour offers when the waitress said you look like a team member i can feel the vibes we told her yes we are working together as team member, she said would you like to take the team member discount, i asked is it better than the Happy hour offers she said yes it include food and drinks not only drinks we said great we will take it and i asked her do you need any proof she said no it's fine. And when the bill came they asked about our membership card and that we couldn't get the discount without it. The waitress came back and said ooh I meant Hilton team member i told her you didn't say that and specify so it's a kind of misunderstanding, can you at least put some of the drinks under happy hour discount she said no the tabs are already close but i will try to get you a normal 30% discount i said great thanks. Another one came back with the bill with no discount at all and i was shocked like they were dealing with it as nothing happened. I just tapped my card and left because at this point it was obvious that no one wants to take any responsibility nor action. This is not the way to handle misleading and...
Read moreWe visited Wavebreaker during our visit to the Hilton beach & pool day.
It is located beach/pool side and has a huge amount of outdoor seating. Wavebreaker has an amazing vibe and plays all big football games on huge screens. It has a full bar and an extensive menu selling burgers, fish n chips, fish platters etc.
We've visited Wavebreaker twice – the first time we ordered the fish platter to share however was disappointed with the "catch of the day" as it was a very small, un-common fish and definitely not enough for two people (however the menu doesn't say it is for sharing so it was probably our own fault).
The second time we visited we both went for the fish n chips and it was absolutely delicious. It was so tasty we're thinking of going back a third time just to eat it!
We enjoyed the day, chilling on the high tables overlooking JBR beach (and the big wheel etc), it was the most relaxing experience. The waiters also made us feel very welcome and dealt with any issues we may have raised professionally, drinks arrived quickly and food was well presented.
Overall we had a fab time here and would highly recommend it for any holiday-makers or even residents of Dubai!

Read moreDissapointed! Hilton hotel in JBR has a prime location at the Beach but they have sadly not managed to maintain a 5 star standard! The hotel needs to be refurbished as everything looks worn out snd tired! We walked in for a dessert in the evening and a tea but unfortunately they have no decent place where you can relax and enjoy a nice dessert/ cake so we were directed to the Wave breaker Restaurant near the beach! Artificial grass, sun loungers, big TV screen playing a match, loud music from the 80's is what we experienced! We reluctantly sat down but felt so out of place as this is supposed to be Hilton brand of hotels and felt nothing like it! We ordered a dessert after a recommendation by the waiter, a banana and caramel icecream split! It was served in a bowl with lashings of icecrsam all dripping of the bowl, and with pink coloured plastic spoons! I was horrified as there were so many places in JBR where we could have had much better service, ambience and food!! What's happened to the...
