Chalcos Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Dubai

My experience with the restaurant was very disappointing as the food was great but your staff made me lose my appetite. There was a deal being offered for 10 dhs and aside from wanting to place my order I wanted to order tacos but the way your staff communicated with me was unacceptable. When I told her what I wanted she kept discouraging me upon ordering the burrito as in her words it was “too small” and that I won’t enjoy it. She told me it was supposedly so tiny and kept on telling me not to order it even though I still did. I tried to inform her about my allergies but she chose to ignore whatever I told her and proceeded to finish the burrito off, clearly bothered that I chose to order it. I wanted to add a dip and when I requested for guacamole she bluntly denied my request as if I didn’t have the money to pay for it. If only she knew she was the reason why I didn’t order anything else as she wasn’t acknowledging my request. Horrible horrible customer service and after a few hours my mom wanted to order it as I told her the burrito was great. When she came back to me she complained about the same service telling me that the female staff discouraged her in purchasing it because it’s too small and she won’t like it. Taco Tuesday y’all 🌮 . . . Chalcos Mexican grill is a decent spot to have Mexican cuisine. It’s located in level 2, Food central area, Deira City Centre. You can dine in and have a look around as this is located in food central area. It gets pretty crowded tho. Great service by the friendly staff. We tried the ‘Taco Tuesday’. This place will serve you unlimited tacos all day on Tuesdays for AED50. You can choose between soft and crispy tacos. I tried both and I loved the crispy tacos. You will get 4 taco filling options in this offer. So you can choose between chicken, veggie, pulled chicken and chili con carne. You also get to choose your taco toppings between lettuce, shredded cheese, sour cream, hot or medium salsa. I loved the pulled chicken and chili con carne filling with cheese, sour cream and medium spiced salsa. Full of flavor. Juicy much. The rest were pretty decent too. Not a fan of veggie filling at all. The menu for this offer is limited. Also the drinks are not included in the offer but it’s unlimited tacos y’all. So you can eat as much as you like. It was during the food festival that I had visited this food joint. There were only 2 people running the show.I guess they are understaffed, due to which the Filipino lady wasn't handling the pressure well, was hostile, short tempered and made customers wait for more than 30 minutes to take their order. She didn't even bother to see who is waiting at the counter, kept prepping the other orders while customers were left waiting at the counter with not a single polite explanation.The other Indian or Nepali guy, was much better than the Filipino lady.
