Jollibee City Centre Deira — Restaurant in Dubai

My 13-year-old son saw the TikTok video of a food blogger claiming Jollibee to be better than KFC. Since then, my son was after me to give it a try.

Finally, we visited the Jollibee outlet in Deira City Centre. Since we're eating KFC regularly, I'm comparing Jollibee with KFC. NO OFFENCE!!!

I ordered the AED 69 combo, which included 6 pieces of broast chicken, 2 spaghetti, 1 big sauce, and 1 litre soft drink (we took Miranda).

PRICE: Way expensive than KFC. QUALITY: The meat was absolutely no match to KFC. All chicken pieces had more bone and very little meat. TASTE: I didn't really like the taste of anything. The chicken smelled like it was fried in coconut oil. QUANTITY: The chicken pieces are way smaller in size, too, plus the meat quantity was very low. SAUCE: I asked the person at the counter if they got garlic sauce or the Dynamite sauce like other American QSRs (KFC, McDonald's, etc.) but she said they got their own sauce and ketchup only. Their sauce had a strong smell of coconut or jaggery, which I didn't like at all.

Overall, it wasn't a pleasant experience for us. I understand Filipinos love Jollibee, which could be due to this being their local brand and carrying a sense of pride or the food preparation techniques matching their culture and local customs. It didn't work out well for us!

I learnt two things from this experience. Never take the opinions of the food bloggers or influencers seriously. They sell you things which they don't use, just to make money from their advertising. We all have different tastebuds. What's tasty for you may not necessarily be tasty...

I recently visited this place and ordered the spicy fried chicken, and I have to say—it was absolutely amazing! The flavor was spot-on, with the perfect level of heat and crispiness that left me wanting more. The chicken was juicy on the inside and perfectly golden on the outside, clearly made fresh and with care.

But what truly elevated the experience was the outstanding service, especially from Alice. From the moment we walked in, she greeted us with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm. She was incredibly attentive throughout our visit—checking in just the right number of times without being intrusive, offering thoughtful recommendations, and making sure we were comfortable and happy with everything. Her friendly attitude and professional demeanor made us feel very welcome and taken care of.

It's rare these days to find staff who go above and beyond, but Alice truly did. She made the entire dining experience more enjoyable and memorable. If you visit, I highly recommend asking for her—you won’t be disappointed!

The atmosphere of the restaurant was another plus. The place was clean, well-organized, and had a relaxed, cozy vibe. It was easy to settle in and enjoy the meal. Whether you're coming with friends, family, or solo, it’s a comfortable spot for a good meal.

All in all, great food, excellent ambiance, and top-notch service. Alice really made a difference and deserves recognition for her efforts. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious food and truly exceptional...

I was dissapointed. I place an order around 10:28 through Smiles and order food from Jollibee and the branch who confirmed the order is in Port Saeed. It showed in the app that the delivery timing is around 11:28, I am still waiting for my order until 11:45 because I was thinking that the driver got stuck in a traffic. And when I checked in the smiles app the food has been delivered already. So I asked for customer support in the application. The said that they are trying to call the restaurant but they cannor call them it is out of reach, and I am trying to call the restaurant as well and operator is putting me on hold. The driver around 12:30am called me and he was asking for the location, and I asked him why now only? He said that he just received the order from the restaurant. Finally the food is delivered around 1am. But it keep me thinking what really happened, the delivery guy was sweating and he said he finished his duty at 12 but they send him just to deliver my order. I pity the guy, i give him 5 star rating but for the restaurant 1. If there 0 i would’ve given them 0. The food delivered is cold already and the ice in the softdrinks has already been melted and it was in room...
