Hi Lilly,

We're saddened to hear you felt discriminated against. That is not how we run our pub as we always aim to be inclusive and respectful of everybody.

Unfortunately, we do have CCTV footage of your group bringing outside drinks into the establishment, which we asked you not to drink on-site (only to be ignored). If that was the only issue, however, we would not have asked you to leave.

Our alcohol-free options are extensive and not limited to only orange or tomato juice.

One of your party did throw up on the table, which was a shame, but it wouldn't have been a reason to kick you out if they weren't laying face first on it.

We asked you to leave for the two reasons stated above, as they're breaches of both our licensing objectives and our duty of care as an establishment.

We'd hoped this would be it. Not more than 5 minutes later we then see one of you, once again on CCTV, sticking what we later identified as a soiled sanitary pad on one of our windows.

We do believe the costumers is always right, but sadly, that's not the case this time.

You're welcome to come in and discuss this with us further, if you wish to do so.

Dropped in with my 4 friends for a quick beer having just arrived in town for a weekend jolly. What a find. A real local pub, serving beers, wines and spirits.....as well as pickled eggs in salt n vinegar crisps...an Oxfordshire bar snack. Tony, Josephine and all staff made us feel welcome. Loved the place, only sorry not to have had time to pop back. Also, their sister pub, the Bedford Tavern is run by Anna is the same hospitable fashion. Keep it up....well be back. Quaint pub with two enormous tables taking up most of the seating area so communal seating might be the order of the day when it gets busy.

Free WiFi

No food served that I could tell, don't think there's room for it. However, there is mention of a function space with catering and entertainment available.

By my seat is a tribute to 'Spyke' (David Batchelor) who would sit here with his dog, and sometimes his rat!
