My favourite pub in the Old Town, Wm Hawkes is a great venue for a few beers and a chin wag whenever you're in the area. A good and varying choice of real ales and spirits with a unique atmosphere and a great new team of staff who always make you feel welcome. I might live at the opposite end of the city but this is my 'local'! Roll on December and the end of lockdown! 👍🍻🎄🍻🎄🍻

It's not Wm Hawkes any longer, it's now called Robins & Keller. Nothing's changed much, decor and ambience are much the same. The two beers I had tonight (Farmers Stout and White Rat Pale Ale) were both outstanding, and the girl behind the bar, or woman, if you find the term girl offensive (some do, it would seem), was friendly and a pleasure to talk to.

Just a really nice, traditional place for drinks. I've walked past so many times and been put off because it's hard to see in but the low light and candles are much of what give it its character (and made my photos terrible). The beers are draught ales and the only bottled beers are alcohol free. Anyway, well worth dropping in.

The most honest review ever!!! The pub was awesome!!! Full of history! Things to view! Atmosphere! Great selection of ale And ermmm apparently me :s The first night out me and my wife have had in 2 years since having the kids and the (drunk) Landlord decides to start a fight with me :s!!!! As I was gazing around the bar, saying to my wife, this is what I have missed for ages and really enjoying my pint, the landlords asks why I have been staring at him. I decided to take the moral high ground as I don’t know the guy and genuinely had not been staring at him and said sorry I don’t know what you mean my friend. The bar staff had to apologise on his behalf! Yes! Beautiful pub! And I wish I would be returning but why waste your money on an absolute...

As part of the Hull real ale trail, Wm Hawkes offers a good selection of real ales, perhaps ten varieties ranging from light to porters, served in heavy beer mugs. I've visited this pub a few times and am always pleased to find the beers well kept and fresh. An extensive selection of spirits is also available, but no lagers. The bar staff are always pleasant and friendly and, importantly, know something about what they're serving. Decor is a mix of bare brick and dark wood paneling with old pictures, beer mugs and horse brasses lining the walls. Excellent pub and...

Been in this pub quite a few times Went on a Tuesday night so hardly anyone there I think it has a great old world atmosphere even though it isn't old Lots of quirky decor....tankards hanging from ceiling...brasses...beer mats and don't forget the creepy stuffed fox in a wall mounted case..😆 Only a couple of quid for a pint of guest bitter so fairly reasonable Will...
