Refused entry 6pm on a Saturday evening with a well behaved 7 year old (pub was not busy). We'd driven up from Nottingham for an overnight stay and was looking for somwhere to have a couple of pints, on asking at the bar if we would be okay coming in with a child the reply was "No we don't have a children's license"...... You have not needed a children's license since 2003, get with the times! The staff need training on current licensing, perhaps let them read the British Beer & Pub Association - Guidelines for publicans on children in pubs. The Bonnie boat is a former Hull Brewery pub that has been refurbished and modernized, but still Retaining it's nice cozy charm.
