DDK Kitchen — Restaurant in London

Honestly the best breakfast I have had in my 30 years living in London.

Being born and growing up in London I have had my fair share of English breakfasts but not once has one ever come close to the one I make at home for myself...until DDK.

Where to begin, the sausages are excellent quality, the scrambled eggs were fluffy and perfectly seasoned, the toast was buttered with actual butter, everything just oozed quality and I could not fault a single item on the plate. It's such a rarity to have such well cooked breakfast with the sea of cheap quality Cafe food.

The price I felt was reasonable for the meal considering it's quality. Certainly more than you would usually pay but worth every penny.

My only complaint would be that the seating towards the back of the first floor was very cold and the wind could be felt blowing through the closed window and there was no signs for the toilet. I ended up downstairs trying random doors looking for it when it was outside.

I do not live or work near Pimlico but I would go out of my way to head back here for their breakfast for sure.

Highly recommended if you want a real, high quality English...

We arrived a few minutes before 11am on a Sunday morning. It took the server 10 or more minutes before getting a drink order and another 15 minutes to receive them. The server let us know the kitchen "was not taking any more orders for now because they are backed up" and we would have to wait to place our food order. Approximately 20 minutes later we ordered food and 20ish minutes later it arrived. The server was nice and the food was good. I hope this was a one off as far as wait times with food and beverages go because although the food was good, it wasn't good enough to make me want to return for the long food wait. There are other cafes on the same sidewalk that were serving customers more quickly. Also, as someone else has mentioned - CASH ONLY. It's not posted anywhere they cannot/won't take cards.
