That was the worst humble crumble experience I have ever had. As a frequent customer of humble crumble and having been to all of their other London locations I was really excited to visit their new store that was closer to my home. The new store looks great from the outside and gives off such wholesome energy. It smells great on the street and makes you want to come inside. Ordering was super smooth and the usual humble crumble experience however things went very south once inside. I ordered one large cup of just crumble and one large cup of hot custard to take home and share with my partner later. Firstly upon entering we were not greeted or even smiled at by a single person. I watched the girl working pour the last of the crumble from the tray into my cup resulting in it being mainly crumbs at the bottom and not actual crumble (as you can see in the picture) and also the fact that it’s barely even half full. The same was then done with the custard cup. If you are charging me £6 per cup I expect them to at least be full (or close to). The reason humble crumble is so iconic is because of its overflowing servings that I have had time and time again. Once she gave me the cups I asked for a lid as every other humble crumble allows takeaway as it is a takeaway concept and there are no seating options at this location to enjoy your crumble unless u like to sit on a curb. Potentially the rudest employee stated the didn’t have lids (the girl working at the pick up station/counter), I then tried rectify the situation by politely asking for a bag, but was once again met with nothing but rudeness and disinterest. My partner went back into the store to figure out a solution and was met with the same poor customer service from the same employees. Luckily a manager was near by and heard his concerns and came to help him out. She was absolutely lovely and did everything she could to help resolve the takeaway situation. Overall I was just really disappointed in the customer service especially for a new store and the lack of communication regarding vital information as had I known I couldn’t take it away I would’ve not ordered. I hope they can sort out these issues as I’d love to continue to be a big fan of the humble crumble franchise.

If you're wandering through the buzzing streets of Covent Garden and suddenly catch a warm whiff of apples, cinnamon, and something delightfully toasty — follow your nose. It’s probably leading you straight to Humble Crumble. This charming little spot puts a modern twist on the classic British crumble, and honestly, it’s a must-try for any dessert lover. You can customize your crumble just the way you like it — choose your fruit base (apple, berry, or seasonal specials), then pick your toppings and sauces (think vanilla custard, cream, or ice cream). Every bowl feels like a warm hug! The flavors are rich and comforting, but not overly sweet. Plus, everything is beautifully presented — definitely Instagram-worthy if that’s your thing. Even though the place is small and popular (yes, there might be a queue), the staff are super friendly and efficient, so it moves quickly. It’s mostly takeaway-style, so don’t expect to sit down for long — but honestly, wandering Covent Garden with a warm crumble in hand? Not a bad combo at all. In short: if you’re in the area and craving something sweet, Humble Crumble is 100% worth the stop. It’s cozy, cute, and genuinely delicious.

EDITING: As a tourist who is not familiar with this company I did not know they offer unlimited custard. It is not advertised anywhere, so you need to know about it. This would have definitely changed my experience. Any tourist reading this and you plan to try Humble Crumble be sure to ask for more custard if you need or want to go with the shortbread crust. It is delicious. We were just in London (1st week of July) and enjoyed Humble Crumble at Spitalfields Market. So when we stumbled across one in Covent Garden on our adventures we of course had to get some. Definitely not the same. I ordered the creme brulee (with no fruit as I am not a cinnamon fan) and it was 3/4 shortbread and just enough topping of custard across the top to look nice. The taste is good but the ratio of shortbread to custard is not. For us whatever the UK price is, you double it for CAD exchange price. When we were back a few days later in the same area, I did choose not to get it as it was a disappointment. This is also a take away location. There is no seating or garbage cans. The food hall across the way you can not take this in.
