LEON Cannon Street — Restaurant in London

Another bad Leon is what we really don't need. The only thing consistent is their poor service. I was literally screaming, as she could not even understand my order through my mask. I ordered a large baked fries, mac and cheese bites and chargrilled chicken mezze, which is basically just grilled chicken. When I asked if they have hummus they did not understand - they did do that before, but I have now checked, and it's no longer available. When I asked what is in the chargrilled mezze expecting some sort of hummus or salad at the bottom she said it's just chicken expecting me to know and like she didn't know herself. How can they work there and not know the menu! Customers will come in, and we will not know what it is - it is the staff's job to explain to us. Anyway, I got my bag and checked it in the store. I only got my chargrilled mezze (just plain chicken) and my baked fries in there. I also got a lemonade, but my mac and cheese bites were missing. I didn't even bother to go back to the counter, as I don't even know if she charged me or not for it. Absolutely disgusting service. I cannot believe in this day and age you don't even give a receipt - did not even ask me if I want one. There is no way to confirm what has been ordered, as we cannot see it being registered. They do not confirm what you order. In this day and age to miss something out is really appalling. I really felt embarrassed and tired to go back. I did not fancy dragging myself back to tell her she cannot do her job properly. I just wanted to go home. At the end of the day you lose, because I tried to order more things, but your incompetent staff cannot even listen or put it in the bag. Really disappointed again - during Covid you were closed, and you've had time to get back into action - there is no excuse really to miss out my order or rob me by not putting it in my bag. You should be ashamed of yourself. You must change your system and at least ask all staff to double-check and confirm the order with the customer verbally. Normal and good service is really not difficult. I really don't know Leon is even still around to be honest. Every time I go in there except for (once) in Canary Wharf, it's so bad. The Canary Wharf one was the only one that was actually normal. And the one in Spitalfields market, where I got a coffee, was good. Please, please, please work on your service. Do not let staff at the front if they cannot do basic things. Please have a manager there at all times to supervise. It is not hard. At the end of the day, it is good and better for your business. I usually get my food from here on my way to work at Mansion House or Cannon Street stations, I work for London Underground so it's important that I eat before starting work. I ordered the Okra stew as I have before and left walking to Mansion House and taking my colleague off to go home at the end of his shift.

I open the box expecting to find the stew and rice and there is literally one dollop of sauce with no sweet potatoe or Okra. I am unable to return the food as I'm stuck at the station and have been forced to eat what tantamount's to 4.95 for a box of brown rice. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. Perhaps as I was wearing my uniform when I entered your store your cook has a grudge against Underground workers or something but this is pretty unacceptable.

Never been to a Leon before and the last 2 times I have been it’s never been ridiculously busy. 1st time I went, I got my food before my drink and the person making drinks was chatting and taking so long and was making other orders before mine even though I ordered before them. I ordered a small meal deal so confused to why it takes them so long on both occasions. My food was so cold and not as nice when I got to my office, which is a 30 second walk away.
