Manhattan Grill — Restaurant in London

Visited for my fiancé birthday & had made a reservation online for breakfast at 10:45am. When we arrived I stated we had a reservation and the waitress didn’t bother to ask for any details and walked us to a table, our server came to take our order n after we had ordered our food the manager came over and told us that breakfast ends at 11 and was insinuating we need to hurry up and leave. I explained to the manager I had made a reservation online and had also emailed the restaurant to which I received no reply, I questioned the manager as to why I was able to make a reservation for breakfast at that time if the service finishes at 11am, the manager didn’t seem to care and kept repeating that service ends at 11, my partner explained we had already ordered so would be waiting for our food so we can eat then leave & the manager then left us. Our server brought us some complimentary drinks & when our first dish arrived it was incorrect so we sent it back and the look on the managers face showed me she really wanted us gone. When the correct food arrived it was quite nice and we ate and then left. I was looking for a good steackhouse in London to celebrate my birthday and after searching for a while I found Manhatan Grill at the London Marriott Hotel Canary Wharf. We ordered 3 starters, 2 Sirloin steaks ,1 Rib Eye, sorbet an a lot of drinks. Appetisers : Smoked Duck Croquette and Stuffed Avocado Salad was so good and delicious!!! big portions and so tasty but Squid Rings and Chorizoand especially Chorizo wasn't so tasty because it was so dry and strong cooked, maybe you have to fix it )) but calamari absolutelly tasty! I liked that menu is on the website and you can be prepared for what you'll gonna order. The location is perfectly placed, in Canary Warf and view is amazing. A thing we didn't understand is why the drinks took so long but we enjoyed the moment as it was my birthday. the service was amazing, very wellcoming and professional. when you enter trough the hotel you get the door man who will open the door for you and once you walk inside you feel like you're in a very posh place. Dreadful experience! We had to wait 1hr 30mins for our food which wasn't anything special I ordered a fillet steak which was dry and lukewarm. However the waiting staff were lovely an polite. Such a shame they work for an idiot manager!

So cut to method of payment keeping in mind we were a party of 20 the manager says we are allowed to pay with 2 cards!!!! 2 out of a party of 20!! When challenged he stated that he knew this was going to happen with "these" people! So this led me to believe that he knew we hadn't been informed of their policy!! At this point we all had our method of payment ready to go and no one had refused to pay. He then called security and said he was calling the police. But in the end they decided to let us pay individually so there was no need for any of this unnecessary confusion.

In the end we settled our bill and we left..i Can say if you want to come here for large group dinner DONT! Unless only 2 of you are paying and you...
