I've ordered from Paul’s via UberEats four times and I have had missing food on three occasions. On the first occasion they missed out a pain au chocolat and a pain au chocolat amendes. On the second occasion they missed out two pain au chocolat amandes so we called up and they told us to order a bottle of water and they'd send the pain at chocolate amandes with a box of mini macarons as means of apology; we (perhaps stupidly) ordered two cokes and put a note to the restaurant explaining that we were placing the order for the pain au chocolat amendes and the mini macarons but upon receiving the order there were no cokes meaning we had forked out £3 for the cokes and £2.50 for the delivery charge so paid £5.50 in total to receive the pain at chocolats we had already paid for and some mini-macarons that were nice but that we didn't particularly want. Today we ordered a pain au chocolat, a ham and cheese croissant and an Anglais apricot pastry but when the UberEats driver came my boyfriend opened the bag and saw there was no apricot pastry in the bag so immediately informed the driver, he told my boyfriend to go on the app and say the food was missing but my boyfriend explained that UberEats would no longer refund us as we had put in several complaints about missing food. He then kindly offered to go back to Paul’s and pick up the apricot pastry; however, he took the bag of food with him and after an hour he still hasn't showed up so now we do not have any of our order which we have paid for. The only reason I am giving Paul’s two stars is because the food is really good when you...
Read moreI'm shocked and disappointed. I'm doing this here as i can't on delerroo. Me and my partner love Paul and always recommend it. But the mocha that we got today was both shocking and embarrassing for Paul. Sometimes the mocha come a little less chocolate, but we don't mind as it's always nice and hot and still tastes good. Today, we received 2 mocha's that were both almost half empty. At first, I was like ok they may be busy and rushed it. But even the taste today, there was none. It was like a normal coffee with a hint of chocolate. I rent and rav about Paul's mocha to people because they are the best i can get. But these were so disappointing. Yes, they credit the account, but when re ordering I still have to pay extra for delivery again, etc. Again, 2nd ones turned up and a little bit more liquid and not as lukewarm. But still extremely disappointing. Food is always so amazing and sonis the mocha normally. Very very disappointed. Will try upload abphot as well. 2 on the right were 2nd order.
UPDATE: Manger of this branch did go out of her way to call my partner and was very apologetic and was very sincere. She explained she wasn't in that day and that's not how she has trained her staff. Not offen managers will go out of there way but we really appreciate the effort as we do love everything from Paul. THANK YOU TO THE MANGER FOR...
Read moreYes, the staff is really awfull. Was there twice. Each time they made me kind of uncomfortable somehow. Very unprofessional. The woman behind the desk was not able to unserstand what I wanted. (I am pretty sure the issue was neither her nor my English...) She got unpolite and I had to point at what I wanted. She acted like I was stupid.
The bread is not always fresh. First time I had a excellent baguette. A decent baguette like in Europe. I went there again because I loved the bread so much the first time. Unfortunately, the bread was stale this time. It must have been from the previous day. Didn't like it. I could have safed £2 buying an equally bad and unhealthy tasteless sandwich at Greggs or Prèt Manchger...
Any one going there who wants some decent french baguette should be aware that you might find yourself unlucky purchasing something that is already a day old...
I won't go...
