The WORST place I have ever shopped at.
I went to their original location without the knowledge that their location moved. So after I took my toddler, purse, & baby bag, I had to stuff everything back into my car & search for their new location. The building had no sign indicating they were closed or where they had moved to.
At least they were nearby but there was no sign indicating to turn left to get to Natural Pantry, so I missed my turn.
After making a long drive around the block, I finally made it to their parking lot. There were no shopping cart stalls outside so I found the only cart outside & placed all my stuff into a tiny shopping cart with no baby seat and carried my toddler in one hand while pushing the cart in the other. Not really fun at all.
When I got inside I took all my stuff out of my cart and placed it into a NEW cart with a baby seat. I walked through the checkout to see each line was busy so I made no attempt to even try to ask a cashier for help since each one was busy so I decided to adventure around for a bit.
Not a single employee greeted me or even asked if I needed help finding anything.
When I finally found what I was looking for, it was in a locked case :( I saw someone nearby that worked here, or at least she looked like she worked here: she was wearing an apron but had no name tag.
I tried to make eye contact with her but she kept leaving the area. So I thought maybe she didn't work there so I looked around for someone who might.
I kept circling the area and saw her again. She kept helping other customers then would walk off. So I finally discovered she in fact does work there. I decided to wait in the aisle but no one showed. A customer behind me looked like he needed the case opened too so I tried circling the aisle one more time.
She FINALLY appeared & offered to help the man in the aisle. I WAS HERE FIRST AND IVE BEEN NEEDING HELP FOR 10 MINUTES! The man didn't even mention that I was there first. I just let it go and waited for her to come back. When she does come back, she doesn't even greet me! I THEN realized that this person had been ignoring me. I had to call out from across the counter to get her attention.
As I was checking out, the cashier next to me offered to help the customer in line BEHIND ME.
My overall experience: It is literally the WORST grocery store I have ever shopped at. EVEN RED APPLE IN MT. VIEW IS BETTER. Unfriendly atmosphere, rude service, unorganized, hard to find the location, and worst of all; their prices are extremely high. I would not recommend anyone...
Read moreThis place has sadly gone way way down hill. I moved out of state three years ago, I lived in Seward when I lived in AK and would make the drive to come here as well as always go here for lunch when I was in Anchorage for work. I am here on vacation and decided to stop in for lunch despite the reviews and promptly left.
Multiple workers ignored me when I said excuse me I have a question, one worker was stocking drinks and she cut me off as I was walking then stopped right in front of me so I couldn’t move around her. I said excuse me and she scoffed and rolled her eyes and I went around her. The deli area lacked choices, the sandwich bar was out of multiple meats and breads. I was waiting for a customer service person and no one acknowledged me, I even said hello to the woman behind the counter and she ignored me, continued sweeping the floor. I browsed the self serve section just to be grossed out; the food looked as if it were sitting for a long while (it was around 1:30pm and I expected fresh items). They were hard and had strange filmy residue over them; all the food items looked as if they’d been sitting there all day untouched. There was also super limited selection, nothing like the glory days of the past in my opinion. There was a worker cleaning up the soup area and he wouldn’t even slide over so I could read the soups and then I saw him dip a finger into one of the soups and taste it!! Not okay! I was dumbfounded and threw my hands up and left.
Don’t waste your time going here unless you need a specific ingredient on the fly that other stores don’t carry, although I will say Fred Meyer is really good about carrying random items or speaking to management, they’ll order items for you. Sad to see what this place has become. Definitely made me appreciate the lower 48 a bit more although I do miss the AK views and adventures.

Read moreWe have been shopping here for many years spending hundreds and thousands of dollars over the years for the choice of supporting our local business owners and community! Never will my whole family ever set foot in this store again! We were shopping today and was approached by the owner in an aisle with other shoppers and he asked my husband to take out of his pocket a chapstick they said he "stuck in his pocket"..which my husband clearly had in his hand since it would fall through the holes in the cart being so small. My husband said which one this one and tried handing it to the owner in disgust that he was just being "accused" of stealing a $5 dollar item even though our cart was full of other items. The owner later explained that my husband was seen in footage that he tried to "conceal" the item which he may have done accidentally reaching for his wallet with the chapstick in his hand for half a second but took back out.We were stunned and sickened by the thought of us being accused of being thieves at a store we frequented and spend a lot of money at with each visit. The owner sees us at his store quite regularly and at no point in the beginning of this ordeal did he approach us calmly and quietly try to explain "hey next time just dont put anything in your pocket even if its by accident for half a second" he was very clear in his approach and accusation that we "had already stolen" the $5 chapstick because he asked my husband to take it out of his pocket and even accused him that he already used it!! Before leaving the store I spoke to the owner and spoke my mind!! From now on we will take our business elsewhere..online shopping saves me a ton of money for...
