Perico's Tacos & Burritos — Restaurant in Albuquerque

I have been here probably a hundred plus times in the past 10years. The one off of Yale and University across from Mcd's and UNM. Its the best! 6packs of tacos rock not so much the fish tacos but everything else is a winner. NEVER have i found any bugs in my meal and also never had any problems with the parking someone went off on that but obviously if u park in front of a place it means you are going inside and parking is def a premium in the UNM area so i do not disagree with them enforcing that rule at all. it is their right and where do you except actually customers to park if you are in their spaces yet going to another shop? thats kinda ridiculous to expect they wont boot your car and im sure its not the establishment that did this...its something called PARKING ENFORCMENT DUDE! Anyhow the review is not even about the food. YES GO THERE! you wont regret it - get some tacos or make anything into your own chimi or stuffed sopa or just a burrito off the menu they have plenty of options! Home of the most expensive parking lot in Albuquerque, Perico's is known more for its extortionary parking enforcement than its tacos--and for good reason: the food is third-rate in a neighborhood where virtually every option (perhaps excepting McDonald's) is better. I haven't been booted in the few times I have been here, but I've seen it happen every single day. In all seriousness, potential patrons would be wise to study the Bernalillo County property map before risking a trip to Perico's...if you think you can eat here and then trot over to mail something at the UPS Store, for example, you'd be making a $75 mistake; they boot when a client leaves their property without the vehicle, and their property is a very small parcel amid the larger Yale-Central SW-corner shopping complex. Parking scammers charge $75 if you park there even if it’s to eat there, happened to me four years ago when I was 9 months pregnant, guy who booted my car didn’t even look like he worked there, he also told me they didn’t accept card, had to walk three blocks up to the Wells Fargo to pull out cash. When I went inside to ask the manager why this happened they said because I also walked to the restaurant next door. He looked very nervous and I didn’t even believe he was the manager at that point especially when he said that I would’ve had to have moved my car to avoid the fee and that his parking guy didn’t see me come in, supposedly only saw me go in next door.
