Friends told me that when in Disneyland, beignets and Mint Juleps are a must!
Visited mid-day during the week and must’ve gotten lucky since there was no line. Staff warmly welcomed us, we browsed briefly, then ordered classic powdered beignets. We ordered 4 (minimum order) and a Frozen Mint Julep. Our server was friendly, made small talk, we waited a couple minutes for our order, got our bag, and the server wished us well with a huge smile. We sat at a nearby table outside to enjoy our tasty treats.
Beignets 3/5: the bag felt heavy for 4 beignets and when I opened it, they’d given us 10, talk about generous! Beignets were fresh, warm, soft and had generous amount of powdered sugar. Some may hate me for saying this, but having never tried beignets, they were denser than I imagined they’d be. I think I expected something very light, similar to Krispy Kreme, but I think beignets are like a combination of a light pancake and French toast, still tasty though!
The Mint Julep 2.5/5: perhaps the hype set my expectations too high, I expected something incredible, but I wouldn’t get one again; however, people told me the Mint Juleps in Disneyland are different.
Overall, a fun experience and very kind of them to give extra, I’m not sure why they did, but either way, it made the visit even more memorable!

But Beignets Expressed is one of those must go-to just like the Rise of the Resistance and Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run, except the only thing you're run for here is joy and the only thing rising is happiness.
Like others, I've never had a beignet before. As I walked into the store and watched those "measly" slates/slabs of dough being portioned and stacked, I had initial doubts and reservations. I wondered at what was so special about a piece of deep-fried. Oh blessed that it is the East and these beignets are the sun, how I could not have been more wrong.
Each beignet was copiously doused in powdered sugar. As you lifted the hot, freshly made morsel to your lips, your nostrils begin to inhale the loose, questionable powder that you initially thought was powdered sugar, but become lost in your thoughts as you ingest this sweet existence. Once it hits your lips, you become immersed in a rich, chewy journey.
All you need are the four originals (knowledge passed down to me through generations of experience and lessons...
Read moreNever have I felt the need to leave a bad review on a food place as someone who works in fast food. Everyone working today’s closing shift was horrible. The line took 40+ minutes when it should NOT have. The problem was not the amount of orders but the WORKERS. Every single worker moved with no respect for anyone’s time. Constantly stopping to chat and stand around, the WORKERS created the massive line. The workers would constantly stop mid-task to talk with other workers. This location was absolutely over staffed. If proper discipline and management was put into place, the line could have been handled efficiently. The crew is lazy, disrespectful, and has disgusting customer service. After the cashier stated the total, a customer tried to pay with cash and the cashier immediately became rude and dismissive. The cashier, Stephanie, ignored the customer and angrily reached over the register to forcefully press the red X. I’m a cashier, I know that the cashier pressed the wrong button, but that was NOT the customer’s fault and they should NOT be treated this way. Absolutely disgusting. I hope this complaint is...
