The whole visit started out on a bad foot. We were waiting to be seated for over 5 minutes. There was no hostess at the front and although we saw servers, only one acknowledged us and said a hostess would be out in a bit. That didn't happen. I ended up calling Applebee's and got to the to go order person and told them I was out front waiting to be seated. Only then did someone come to seat us. The floors were dirty. Our waitress came out to tell us hi and said she would come back. I usually don't mind being called honey, baby, or sweetie during my dining experience, but the use of all three words were used in excess! After every sentence we were called honey, sweetie or baby. Probably well over twenty times during our meal. I had ordered wings as an appetizer and then a bit later asked to do the 2 for $25 deal and asked if the wings could just be included in there since they were an appetizer option. The waitress made it sound hard to do since she had already put the order in and asked if I wanted an extra order of wings. After insisting I just wanted my wings as part of the meal, she finally relented and said she could do it. The food was standard Applebee's. It came out hot and fresh so no complaints there. We did spend $145 with a tip for 5 adult meals, 2 appetizers, and 4 drinks. The strawberry lemonade apparently doesn't come with free refills so that would have been nice to know, considering drinks are 3.50 a piece. The meal itself was $121 and then we left the tip. Out server gave us the check and told us to pay when we were ready. I never saw her again. My kid let me know I could pay at the table on the mini kiosk. Again, not a huge problem, but would have been nice if the waitress told me. During our time there we ended up having our waitress, one other checked in us, and I had to ask another waitress for a to go cup once my waitress never showed up after giving us the bill. I do want to commend our waitress on being as polite as possible, and working hard, but overall they just seemed short-staffed and trying to keep up even though it wasn't busy. As far as food we got the ribeye meal with two sides, a combo appetizer, 2 chicken sandwich meals, and the 2 for $25 deal that had the boneless wings as an appetizer, a cheeseburger meal, and the rib plate that we upgraded to a platter for $2. Edit 12/23. Looked over my receipt again and the waitress DID charge me for my wings, so I paid an extra $12.29 for food not received. I did call and speak with the manager. He was an absolute delight! He patiently listened to me, acknowledged my concerns, and apologized. He offered a refund and a gift card to make up for my experience! He really went above and beyond and I...
Read moreWell once again I find myself sharing another experience. Or should I say as a great commentator Paul Harvey said and now for the rest of the story, lol honestly Applebee's was overall a good experience. I understand at the time that I was there that evening it was busy and there were two different regular employees that were training two new employees for the waitressing and waiters position my niece from Tennessee came up and treated me and my mom and my sister to dinner my mom is a 81-year old Marine veteran and she still a beautiful lady and my sister is disabled and it had a back brace on and when we went in the young lady that was being a hostess said that it would be a 10 minute wait or we could sit at the bar at one of the tables which has only stools to set on I noticed it was two or three dirty tables and that's why we were going to have to wait and so we sit at a table at the bar and my mom was a little uncomfortable I could tell trying to get up into the chair and my sister was having a difficult time setting on that hard stoolbut we made it past that and the waiter who is training a young lady to be a waitress was really really good that young man was very positive he had his all laughing and he showed respect for us as customers and he was training this young lady the best way to be with the customers he was very good at customer as far as the food goes we all had steaks mine was medium rare it was perfect but they kind of had a problem with the well-done steaks I know that cooking myself that a well-done steak can be done with the juices still in show there stands a little improvement in the kitchen area the atmosphere was good it could have been better with maybe a little music but there seemed to be a little disorientation because of the training going on besides the problem with the seating and a little trouble with the steak being well done it was still a good positive experience all the people that were working there has had a positive attitude they were trying to get things done and we did laugh and enjoy ourselves in the end. I would suggest to anybody that this is a good family place to eat at keep up the good work Applebee's crew I'm sure that the next time I revisit your establishment it will be even a better experience. Like I said I enjoyed my experience at Applebee's for me I enjoy observing and talkin about the places I go and the people I meet in two things I see and experience it's an awesome feeling to have meet and interact with so many interesting in our world thanks again for reading and I hope that you enjoy your experience there to keep up the good work...
Read moreEntered and no one to greet us. Several dirty tables, but wait staff was standing in the back. Seated in a booth because we asked for one, but it had to be cleaned first. There were other clean empty booths. Waited for about 10 minutes while our waitress discussed conditions in the restaurant at another table.
Took our order. Mine was chicken tender salad, but I asked for double italian dressing, I don’t like honey mustard, and french onion soup. I was asked if I wanted it as an appetizer. I said no bring it all together. Soup came early as an appetizer. I didn’t complain and it was very good. Salad came out with honey mustard dressing in a cup but spilled into salad. Sent back. 15 minutes later I was asked where my salad was. My response was that I didn’t know. Salad came with single italian dressing. I didn’t complain because my wife was almost done with her meal. The chicken tenders were cold and the salad still had some of the honey mustard dressing on it. So I paid my bill via the keos, but the receipt didn’t print out. We have eaten in several Applebees that we very good, but it will be a long time before we return to this one in our home town.
Also, man in next booth sent his steak back because it was over cooked and cold. The couple next to us waited for about 20 minutes and then walk out because no waitstaff came to even take drink order. This place is in serious trouble. Don’t go there until their...
