My experience with Ihop this time was a total waste of time, money, energy and my mind. The bacon was beyond burnt, my hash browns were soggy, the edges of my over medium eggs were hard. My husband's steak omelet was cold and wasn't made anywhere close to how he ordered it. Most of what he didn't want on it seemed to be doubled. I asked for dry toast with butter on the side, but I didn't receive any butter at all. All of our food was cold and not what we expected after all we had went through to get it! When I got our food home and checked the bag. There was no utensils, napkins, butter, jelly or my husband's side of gravy he payed for. We ordered on line, we both have the Ihop app. It wouldn't take ether of our orders. After literally 25 plus minutes I finally got it to accept my order, YAY! Only to be told that it was to close to closing time to place my order 🤬 It was 11:39p.m, it's a 24 hour restaurant!! By this time we have been attempting to place a order for close to an hour😳 At this point, I'm frustrated and over it. It's almost midnight on a Monday, so our options are very, very limited. I was ready to eat and go to bed. I told my husband to forget Ihop and I'll put a order in for Applebee's😐 but my husband was now determined to get his omelet. So there was no going anywhere else. He FINALLY got to place our order. Our pick up time was 12:08a.m I didn't rush to get there. I read a lot of thier reviews while I was waiting on my husband to place our order. Since I was told I couldn't order because they were about to close😠 So it was clear timing could be a issue from what I read. People having to still wait 20 minutes and longer for thier food after being told when to arrive to pick it up. Well, I was right!! I let my van warm up for a couple minutes, stopped by the corner store and then drove the 4 minutes to Ihop. It was now 12:17a.m and my food still wasn't ready. By 12:33a.m my order was brought out to me. 25 minutes later than the time we were given to pick up.They weren't busy, there was maybe 3 tables in the entire restaurant.Totaling about 8 to 10 customers. By this point I'm super frustrated. Due to the fact that I'm just now receiving my food, that has taken me almost 2 hours to get. From the start of placing our order to actually having it my hands. Craziness! After all of this mess, I'm still going to tip. It wasn't the server's fault that this was a complete disaster. I only had a $20 on me, so I asked her if she could give me $15 back. She acted kinda surprised. She did her job, she was polite all with a smile on her face. She came back and handed me $15 thanked me and I was out the door. I've been a server for 25 plus year's, so I understand stuff happens. I was going to call to speak to a manager about my food but, it was 1a.m and honestly I was done with the whole situation. I threw the food in the trash and went to bed. This entire experience was horrible, from start to finish!! I'm considering calling thier corporate office.Throwing my money away, LITERALLY, pisses me off!! This is the 3rd time in 2/3 weeks, that we've ordered food from a restaurant here in Anderson. Just to get it and pitch it straight...
Read moreThe day we visited IHOP was a beautiful day. The day we signed out of school to go to this adored place. As we set out me and my two beloved friends Ivan and Garrett had it all planned out, we were to make it back to school before our classes were to begin. And thus the adventure was on, we first had to make it out of school and how were we to do that other than to go unto the front office and sign out. Our initial plan had some bumps along the way as we did not anticipate what the lady in the front office would say or do, and as a result we just barely made it out of those doors. However she did not stop us for our desire was far too great to be ignored. And thus we set out excited for our adventure to take it's hold, but first we had to make a quick stop at Ivan's humble abode in order to retrieve that of Nintendo switch games for later if course. We arrived at IHOP all in one piece and ready to order, we sat there and looked at those deliciously sticky menus although not as sticky as that of waffle house's menus, and ordered to our hearts desire. However it did not go as smoothly as we had hoped, firstly it took longer than expected for our food to arrive and then just as we thought our long awaited scrumptiousness that is our food had just arrived we were plundered and informed me that they happened to be out of swedish crepes, "no matter for the pancakes will do... And make that to go." We were running out of time, we had to be back at the school in 30 minutes time in order to make it there just as first lunch had started in which Ivan had class to attend. We triumphantly rode out noble tinted windowed Honda Accord all the way back to our schoolyard just in time for first lunch where me and Garrett enjoyed a meal fit for kings in a lunchroom full of envious individuals. The meal satisfied our stomachs greater than any IHOP meal bestowed upon me before, and for that I rate a high rating of 4 stars at this establishment....
Read moreWow... what to say. So me and 5 others came here after an outing, pretty early in the morning. We could tell they were short staffed but who isn't no days. First encounter was two lady's that arrived after us but were seated and feed before us. Another group there saw this happen and decided to leave as they were not attended to before the two ladies mentioned, and made sure everyone in the place knew about it. We were finally seated and placed our drink order. 15 mins later the drinks come out, and one of the people with us did not get theirs as they were out. This was a continual theme throught the visit. Again, they were also out if her chosen food item. Another member of our party waited almost 30 mins for her drink and yet another member of our party got their food and it was cold. As she returned the food, the waiter made a comment to the back staff as if he were irritated about the situation but never offered a solution. At no point in time did the manager ever come over to our table or apologize for the previous groups use of foul language disrupting the experience to begin with. Now in all fairness I'm sure everyone working was a bit frustrated with the arrangements at the facility... being short staffed is never fun. But you guys this was a small nightmare. I hope someone from the facility reads this a reaches out because it really should be handled a lot better then...
