We arrived here after 7hrs of traveling. I booked this hotel DIRECT and not through any "cheap" sites. Upon attempting to walk in , we had to walk between two people who were smoking just to get inside. One of which we found out was an employee....long blonde hair female, wearing shorts & a tshirt. ??? The other, a patron I'm assuming who was pretty "out of it". This was our first hint of our night to come.||||I booked and PAID for a 2 Queen Bed room as our daughter has epilepsy and needs a comfortable full bed for a good nights sleep to help avoid seizures. We arrive around midnight as I had already made note to the hotel that it would be a late check in......only to find that they give us a King room with a pull out "janky" sofa bed. I go down to the front desk clerk (who btw was the only NICE thing about our entire experience, a very nice gentleman) who did try and apologize and explained they were overbooked. Therefore we could not change rooms. Being it was late, all other hotels nearby were fully booked & we were exhausted from traveling, we sucked it up and took the room regardless. As the gentleman front desk clerk guy gave us blanket, sheets, & pillows for our "sofa bed" and was attempting to give us pillow cases for our pillows with the "help" from the long blonde haired female employee.....and I mentioned the fact we really wish we could have the two Queen beds we had previously booked/paid for......the female employees reaction to us was this...... "Well this isnt the Hilton". Like, seriously. No its a FAR CRY from the Hilton. Its a far cry from an abandoned Hilton! But we did PAY for a room that we did not get only to end up being a King bed with stained comforter, a janky sofa bed, an AC Vent that a prior guest used as an ashtray so the entire room REEKED of cigeratte smoke causing me to use my inhaler 6 times. And to boot....No remote for the TV. Surprise!||||By FAR the absolute WORST hotel I've ever been in. To not have any regard for a paying customer, travelers, out of state and just not care what happens in your hotel, is disgusting & disheartening. Complaints fall on deaf ears. Refunds aren't even discussed. Save your money and travel up the road to the next nearest city or better yet, sleep in your vehicle. It's much cleaner and most likely safer. Absolute worst hotel experience we've ever had. ||||I've always thought certain reviews were "exaggerated" and we aren't high maintenance by any means.....but EVERY single review in here regarding dirty bedding, film on the swimming pool, cigarette smoke smells filling hallways & rooms, no regard for reservations, dirty rooms.....are all 100% accurate. ||||I'm certain I will get the generic "we are sorry to hear....call "blah blah blah" automated generated response. The owner needs to step up and actually respond to people and CARE about your business. The ONLY positive moment was the young gentleman who worked...
Read moreThis by far the worst experience i have ever had at a hotel! I cannot stress enough how far away you should stay from here! My nephew had his 9th birthday here and we were looking forward to a fun evening of swimming. There was no hot tub as advertised which was no biggie. We were kicked out of the pool at 10 even though there is a sign with pool hours and rules that cleary stated the hours were 6 am to midnight. We returned to the room and had cake and pizza and a staff member knocked on our door and said that we were being too loud. We werent being a bit noisy! After that 2 of the kids fell asleep and the other 2 were getting ready to leave to go home with their parents. The tv wasnt on and the overall volume in the room was kept at whisper...the kids that were still up were literally terrified because of how rude the man was that had came to the room so they were on their best behavior. It was about 20 minutes after the first visit from the staff that the 2nd visit came. The same staff member came back and said that the kids were running the halls knocking on doors and screaming...I invited him in to see that 2 of the kids were asleep and the other 2 had not been out of my sight. I am constanly supervising them and would never let them run wild! An arguement quickly arose and I was told to shut up and called a liar, which I did not take too kindly! I asked him how he liked ruining a 9 year olds birthday because he had made the entire evening so miserable thats what he had done! We were then told we had to pack up and leave. I told him gladly but we had only checked in about 3 to 4 hours earlier so I requested a refund and the response was "No way in hell!" After arguing and getting no where we called the police to resolve the matter. They arrived and by that point there were 2 other occupants from 2 seperate rooms with different complaints against staff and cleanliness. They were also requesting refunds only to be told no. The police said they recieve calls from the hotel constanly for many different problems and that we would have to reach out to coorperate for a refund or possibly file a civil lawsuit. By the end of it they found out that the noise and wild kids were staying in the room 2 doors down and they had confused the noise with our room. We got no apology and went home anyways because who would want to stay after being harassed like that?! They were so incredibly rude and I am in udder disbelief at how badly we were treated! They crashed and ruined a little boys birthday because they were too stubborn and mule headed to listen to us and place blame on the correct people. We ended the night having to wake kids up and go home on what should have been an enjoyable night out.....What a nightmare! Someone should lose their job or they will...
Read moreThe room door did not open when we came back from going to the casino. 3 times the man redid our keys, but to no avail. He came to our door to see what was going on. He tried a crow bar and various other methods to get us into the room as I am a diabetic and needed my medicines. We sat on the hallway floor around an hour and a half waiting for him to open our room door. He finally went and got the owner and he eventually got it opened but stated it was broken and we would have to switch rooms the following day, which was ok with us. We did ask if we could sleep in since it was 4am at this point. He said no problem. Well, starting at 7am we got phone calls and knocks at the door at least 5-6 times as they wanted to fix the door but we were told we could sleep in. We got up around 11am with very little sleep and moved to another room so they could fix the door. It was such an inconvenience for us and to be honest the 1st shift maintenance guy had the door fixed in 5 minutes after we had moved all our things to the following room as we were staying 2 nights. Lack of communication with the staff....again, we sat on the floor eating our Steak n Shake food for an hour and a half waiting to get that door opened and then once it was opened, we was assured we could sleep in before moving the next day to another room, which did not happen. Just a nightmare! Then, when we moved to the other room, the light in the bathroom over the mirror did not work and since I am blind in one eye and do not see well, it was extremely hard to see in there. We did not say anything about that though. I would definitely not go back as I am older and I should not had to sit on the floor in the hallway for that long and not even get an apology from the staff about the issue. The least they could have done was say they were sorry and not once did they take anything off my bill either. Great location...but there are so many other hotels right in the vicinity that next time, we will choose another hotel. After that happened, even the girl on 1st shift was not friendly with us when we asked a couple of questions...and her husband that is the maintenance guy said that is the way she is when she gets mad...as customers, we did not find that professional, either. It was not our fault about the door issue at all. Just an inconvenience and horrible experience to...
