We stayed here for one night. When we checked in the person behind the front desk was friendly and apologized that the only rooms that they had left were on the 3rd floor and asked if that was okay. We took the room and headed on up. On the way we noticed the pool. It looked clean but rather small. The elevator was smaller than most we are used to in hotels. We were glad we didn't have the kids and one of those carts for luggage because it would have been quite snug. The room had a king bed and a chair in the corner. The outlets behind the bedside tables were easily accessible which is sometimes a problem in some hotels when trying to plug in our phones to charge. The room itself was clean. My wife did comment that the bed was a little hard. She didn't wake up stiff or anything so the firmness wasn't too bad. The refrigerator had ice builup but it was able to keep our drinks cold. The tv looked newer but the cable must have been bad. We had rolling lines through the picture on all stations. The Internet left a lot to be desired. It was so slow that I eventually just switched off the wifi on my phone and just used my LTE data. The bathroom was clean but the towels were thin and had stains on them. The water pressure in the shower was low also but it was adequate for the purpose. On my search for ice, which I could only find on the first floor, I stopped by the fitness room on the third floor. It consisted of a tv, an elliptical, a treadmill and a stationery bike. The seat on the bike was screwed in place and not adjustable and the elliptical machine felt like it was broken or sagging on the left side. I couldn't get it started. The breakfast in the morning had the mandatory waffle iron, biscuits and a crockpot of gravy, two cereals choices, some muffins, bread for toast, two juice selections and a few other things. We opted to go out for breakfast. This is an okay place for a night's sleep for the money but if you are looking for a lot of amenities this may not be the...
Read moreIt appears to be clean, and their making improvements..I'm afraid it may not be quick enough..nite shift employees aren't to bad...But the owner, manger is very unpleasant, theres major electrical proublems, at 3am while needing a breathing treatment, I woke to realize my power was out.. apperently since I noticed it first, the manger / owner tryed to push blame on me, I didn't even get out of bed, when I noticed the power was off in my rm..after..switching RMS, temp-3am-9am..due to staff not having keys to rm. Where fuse box is (fire Hazzard/code violation) .. at 9am he had the gull to say , I couldn't have to RMS..I Didn't want the first one..let alone two! I think their operating on an out of date fuse box... maybe whoevers Dept that is, will check it out?! I would like to see hotels B held accountable, for their intentional wrongs, it's exspensiveforurselall ur stuff , ur vechiles, the inconvence of no sleep...It's just wrong for all that to b on the customer, when they knw they have them and continue to rent the rms.. Read moreI was reluctant to stay at the Super 8 hotel of Anderson Indiana considering all of the negative post I have read on here, however it was the only hotel in town that allowed pets so I gave it a try.
First of all, I must say the building was quite nice as you pull up to the entrance. Very nice facade and the yawning covered the entire entrance so you will be sheltered from any weather. When entering the building I was greeting by a very nice young man and the entry way was very warm. The decor was lovely and very homy.
Second was the staff. I checked in early which at most hotels I stay in (even the 5 star hotels) would've been a problem. Usually when they say 3pm check in they mean 3 pm however the manager went out of his way to find me a room. They was sold out the night before but he tracked down a nice clean room for me. With out Roger's help I would have been late to my obligations. I was quite pleased with the amount of effort the manager went through to make my stay as pleasant as humanly possible.
Third the rooms. The room was VERY clean and put together in such away that it seemed it had more space to move around in than many other hotel rooms I have stayed in. I was informed that they just updated the hotel. The room came with a large flat screen TV, Refrigerator and microwave. The bed was very nice and cozy. The only thing that was unappealing was the carpet and I was informed by the front desk that they was in the process of replacing that as well.
Over all I was quite pleased with the stay. The breakfast was nice and tasty. The staff was very enjoyable and the newly renovated rooms where a pleasure to stay in. For the price you can not beat it!
Thanks again for your...
