We spent two nights here; 1 night on our way traveling North, and a second night (along with another couple booking a total of 2 rooms for 1 night) on our return South. The hotel was fine as far as the rooms and breakfast was concerned. However, billing services needs attention!!!! On our return South, the 2nd couple and us both used our Rewards Points to pay for our rooms. I called Choice Points directly a day before we arrived, and was assured we were all set. When we arrived at the hotel, we were assured that our stay was all set, and we were never even given a receipt showing a zero balance due. MY MISTAKE not asking for the receipt. The hotel already had my credit card # from previous bookings. I received my credit card bill today, and not only was I billed for two rooms on our return South (I did the original bookings for both us and our travel companions); but reward points were taken from both ours and our traveling companion's rewards cards. The hotel had us down for a 3rd room that same night (which was never used), and my rewards points were applied to a room we never used. Our companions points were taken and they still have to pay me back for their room which was charged to my credit card. SOMEONE REALLY MESSED UP!! Upon calling Choice Points directly, they are opening a Case ID to follow up and see what happened. My Choice Points Customer Agent had to call the hotel twice while I held trying to resolve the issue, which is still not resolved. Choice Points Customer Service says they will get back with me in 7-10 business days to see if they can bring resolve to this issue. I'll be following up with this review to advise others if the value can be trusted, or if I can recommend anyone using this...
Read moreVery disappointing, booked over the phone, pics on line are not accurate. I paid $162.40 for a $70 room. In need of update, but I could have dealt with that had it been clean and everything in working order. To begin with the tub was clogged and wouldn't drain for showers, next we felt bugs, didnt see any but I know what having bugs in your bed feels like from other motel experiences, the bed had blood stains on sheet and inside of comforter, we slept on top with our own personal blankets. By midnight it had gotten warm when we turned on the air it wouldn't come on after turning it down to 60 degrees it came on after getting back in bed it went off after 5 minutes and wouldn't come back on for about 10 minutes, this is how our whole night went. Trying to get ready the next morning with a bulb out over vanity and very dim lighting was not easy. Before leaving I was going to put a bucket of ice in my cooler, but when I got to the ice maker it was out of order (imagine that). When I checked out I told the lady all the problems in the room and she gave $22.40 back and said if I wanted more I would have to call back on Monday. As I was leaving the lady called the maintenance man over to her (I assumed she was letting him know the issues in the room) However when I called back on Monday the manager said she would call me back, when she did she said everything worked in that room and she had decided not to refund me any money. After arguing with her she hung up on my husband and I. I do NOT recommend the motel, I have never written a bad review for any business before, but I was over charged because of limit availability because of a event going on, but was willing to pay it, but...
Read moreUpon arrival, I was asked if I had an reservation. I said I had just made one online in the car within last 2 hrs. Clerk couldn't find it. I said I made it through Trivago. She still couldn't find it. Upon looking further she said it was booked for the following night. She couldn't cancel the booking as it was done through a 3rd party. So then I decided to book through Choice Hotels. That was not a pleasant transaction. I ended up using some of my points, 16,000. Then went back to the desk to talk to the clerk again. She then said it finally came through and I got the room for a good price, $28.00. I flipped my lid. Told her I wasn't told I had to pay an extra $28.00 on top of using 16,000 pts. That was out ragious. I have never booked a room having to pay extra on top of using pts. I took the room anyway as my husband was also upset because I was taking too long. Then we went to our room. Being upset I just went to bed. In the morning upon getting ready to take a shower. NO SHOWER CURTAIN IN THE BATHROOM. So I took one anyway and didn't care that there water all over the place. Had to use all the towels to mop up the water. When checking out the am clerk was more pleasant to deal with. She brought it to my attention that Choice Hotels or Comfort Inn had cancelled the $28,00 from my bill. I then showered the pics I took of the fact that there was NO shower curtain in our room. She took down my phone number so the manager could get back with me when they came back in the office. Being a Holiday Weekend, I don't expect a phone call till at least Tues Dec 26, 2017. At minimum I would expect not only an appology, but some kind of compensation for the hardship I went through, ie:...
