On Saturday, my wife and I traveled from Indy to our favorite emporium flea market in Anderson, we were hungry and decided to pop-in to McDonald's for a quick bite to eat... Ordered on the fancy new self-order screens in the lobby, and sat down and waited, and waited, and waited... I finally went up to the counter, and all the workers were worried about was the drive-thru... People were standing in line for literally about an hour, the place was a mess, the ice machines were empty, the ketchup dispensers were bone dry, no packets on the beverage bar, and NO tea in any of the 4 pots there, I was pissed because I ordered sweet tea, had to get sprite, with no ice. About 40 minutes into our wait I went up to the counter to complain, but I was in a line of about 15 other people who were waiting for their food as well... When we finally received our food, it was cold, the fries were hard and way too salty. We were too frustrated to complain, so we ate the disgusting food. As we were leaving, the drive-thru was so backed-up, that we couldn't get our car out for about 15 minutes until the cars got through... All 10 of the parking spots by the door are blocked by the SLOW moving drive thru cars... The new design and lay-out of this and all the other "NEW" McDonald's must have been designed by a third grader so it would seem... IT's ALL centered around the drive through because you pay WHEN you get your food.. The people inside are stuck waiting because they PAY BEFORE they receive their food... I wasn't leaving or asking for a 17.00 refund... Oh, and the automated ordering seems like a bonus, but it just takes longer because your order gets lost in the shuffle of getting the drive thru orders completed...    Read moreWe went through the drive-thru. It took over 40 minutes to get food for three people. Two employees appeared to be having a fight in the parking lot. After giving us our drinks, the young man at the second window wondered aloud why we were remaining at the window, and seemed confused when we told him we were waiting for the food that we had paid for, too! Since the two people at the speakers decided that they would fight over which one was doing Lane 1 and which one was doing Lane 2, our order was jacked up! My daughter tried to take the incorrect items inside to avoid the Fight of the Lanes, but one employee literally slammed and locked the door on her, exclaiming, "The Lobby is closed! while customers inside were eating their meals. My daughter tried to explain that We just needed items corrected and was IGNORED by the rude girl. We got in line again. "When we got to the window again the employee that was participating in the verbal altercation was crying while taking orders. It seemed more Worldstar than McDonald's! We ordered a double cheeseburger, a McChicken, a 10 nugget meal, and a double Quarter Pounder with ONLY cheese/mayo/lettuce. We got 2 double McChickens, a lone chicken patty in a pancake container, a double Quarter Pounder with extra cheese/extra onion and everything else (including the allergen we specifically avoided). The staff did not have the drive thru menu feature that shows what they were keying in so we didn't notice the extra charges. We were eventually refunded a little over $8.00 by an exasperated woman who was trying to help the crying girl but couldn't listen to me - the customer - because she was so busy It'll be quite some time before I would try to brave this...
   Read moreWorst experience I've ever had at Mcdonald's. The service was the worst I've ever seen. We ordered six combo meals, three that were chicken nugget combos. We pulled up to get our food, and the gentlemen at the window tells us they are out of coke and sprite. So we changed our drink order to 4 root beers and 2 Hi C's. He hands us 3 root beers, 2 high c's, and 2 straws. Then he hands us our food. I told him we were missing one of our root beers. He tells me that we only paid for 5 drinks. I told him we bought six combos so that's six drinks. He made me show him our receipt. So then he gets our drink. He brings back a Hi C instead of a root beer. Whatever, I just kept the Hi C. I then told him we needed straws. He told me he already gave them to me. I explained to him he only gave us two. We then tell him we didn't get any bbq sauce. He argues with us and tells us it's the first thing he put in the bag. We showed him the empty bag with NO BBQ sauce. He then tells us we'd have to pay 27 cents for each extra bbq sauce. We told him we weren't paying for more. We already paid for it and never got it. He then said we would have to take it up with his manager, so we told him to go get the manager. He came back and said his manager was refusing to talk to us, but he'd be nice to us a give us one bbq sauce. ONE BBQ SAUCE for 3 Meals. At that point we were all so angry that I didn't even feel like mentioning that we didn't get any napkins either. He probably would have just told us that's the first thing he put in the bag with...
