THE ABSOLUTE WORST EXCUSE FOR SERVICE I'VE EVER SEEN!!!
My daughters went in there last night around 5pm and ordered two sandwiches. They said when they came in, there was one person ahead of them. One of the sandwiches was given to them within a few minutes. However, the other one they said they were working on when several people came in at once. My daughters waited and waited to the point that I came into the restaurant to see what was causing a delay. It had been a half hour since they entered the restaurant. My girls sat there and watched person after person order, get their food and leave. They asked about the missing sandwich and I asked about it and the cashier said they were working on it. Clearly, it had been forgotten. I then asked for a refund. The cashier didn't know how to do it. She called over a middle aged man with glasses who had a very bad attitude. I pointed out that it doesn't take a half hour to make a sandwich and obviously they never even started it. He started tapping on the register until it spit out a refund receipt and handed it to me and yelled "HERE!" but didn't hand me the cash. He said they paid by credit card but my girls don't have a credit card and the refund receipt said cash. He then pulled the money out of the register, handed it over in a huff and walked away. Then, after touching the register several times, he walked over and continued making sandwiches. I never saw him change his gloves, which is contaminating the food that he was preparing with the bacteria from the screen on the cash register. They skip an order, leave two customers waiting for half an hour, insist they're working on a sandwich they never started, don't follow proper sanitation and THEY HAVE AN ATTITUDE. Sounds like a great representation of the Jersey Mike's brand.
I know it's hard to find people to work for low wages and I'm sure that at least one of their employees is trying their best. However, this rude man last night should be fired immediately. I don't appreciate their ignoring my daughter, who happens to be black, and then copping an attitude with me. Take some pride in your work, lose the attitude or go get a job that's better suited to your abilities. What job requires absolutely...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. What a horrible experience. When we first walked in there was no greeting from any of the 7 staff members behind the counter. Everything was messy, trash can over flowing, tables dirty, there was lettuce and pieces of bread everywhere on the counter. There was a line of about 4 people and like 5 just standing by the door. Come to find out the ones standing had been there for at least 30min waiting on their sandwiches. There were online order tickets that had just been set aside that no one was making. Mind you there are 7 people behind the counter, one girl checking people out that didn’t seem very confident or trained, one guy putting the sandwiches together, one guy slicing and one taking the order at the beginning of the line. The three other folks I assume were to be working the grill and cleaning getting orders together etc but that was not happening. There was no communication and all the employees looked mad. We stood in front of the register for 10min waiting to actually be rung up. It took another 10 to actually get the subs. Oh and there was no water so no drinks except bottled and no bottled water... The icing on the cake was that a mother an her daughter had been waiting and hr for their food and when they finally got it she expressed her unhappiness with the situation and the curly haired fellow who had been slicing was just like idk what to tell you. And she said a coupon or something for their wasted time would be nice. He proceeded to get more aggressive and started reaching for her receipt saying “fine!! if you want a refund give me your ticket! Give it to me! Hand it over I’ll give you a refund” she was visibly frightened for her young daughter and said “no I’m leaving you’re getting hostile” and walked out. Some large women came in at one point and asked if the register girl needed help (which she clearly did) but did nothing and went back to the back. If I was the owner of this location I would definitely be firing some people. However the shorter dark haired fellow putting the sandwiches together and the taller fellow with dreadlocks seemed to know what they were doing and were doing a good job and the register girl just needed some...
Read moreI was just there, and got a regular sandwich, and a soda. No one there knew what they were doing. I have been through customer service. I know how it works. There is absolutely no reason it should have taken 6 people on a Sunday night to make sandwiches and still take 15+ minutes to make them. There was a customer in front of me who ordered online, and was waiting the entire time I was there. When I first ordered, the lady asked what size I wanted and I said regular, but I wasn't familiar with the prices and sizes at Jersey Mike's since it had been awhile since I've been to a location, when I asked if instead I could make it a giant, she ignored me and moved to the next customer like "and what can I get for you?" I wasn't finished with my order yet, because I changed my mind. I'm paying 11 dollars, so I should be allowed 5 seconds to change my mind. The people handling the vegetable station had completely no idea what they were doing, and drowned my sandwich with vinegar. Which I didn't complain about maybe they were just in a hurry, but when I asked for pickles and mayo they looked at me like I should be burned at the stake. I'm glad I didn't get a hot sandwich, the guy working the grill was really slow and looked like he was high on something, with his eyes drooping and practically tipping over. I hope the lady who was in front of me who waited forever for her mobile order left a review too, or I'll just feel like an a**. I didn't leave 1 star only because my order was at least a bit quicker than some of the customers who looked like they'd been waiting all night. At least they were all...
