Immediately you can tell this is a family owned and run business, which I personally love and really wanted for the dining experience to go well as I love supporting family, local businesses. The decor was beautiful, the ladies working there were very nice (except the pretty lady with the pig tails who never smiled - yes, people can tell if you smile under the face mask - but I chalk it up to they were busy). Our server was the one of the owners, I believe, who was very nice. However, he ended up having too many tables and we had a hard time getting service and took a VERY long time to check out. They had enough employees and the place was not that big so I think their are opportunities to streamline their process. Food wise, the ceviche and the ravioli were great. The greek salad needs improvement (variables: more lettuce, more sauce, feta more crumbly, etc.) so that every bite can have a balance of the ingredients that went into the salad. Disappointed with the sea bass as it did not taste like sea bass or it was just overcooked. The dessert section on the menu was confusing telling you to choose a dessert with no price. This implies that dessert is included in the price, which I thought there is no way dessert is free (too good to be true). It took a long time just to get someone to get us the dessert menu to look at possibly getting dessert, knowing it was highly unlikely to be included, but it took so long for our server or any server to come back that we did not get dessert and just wanted to get the heck out of there. That part was the most frustrating: some of us have to get a babysitter just to have a date night and we spent a lot of our time there just waiting and trying to get someone to come to our table. And, we have to get back to relieve the babysitter. Lastly (covid-wise), the restaurant filled up about half way into our meal and tables were not 6 feet apart (another reason I wanted to get out of there) in the small dining area. Some air flow through the place would be helpful as there were a lot of people there (happy for them to have such great business). Even though this restaurant has the potential to be one of the best restaurants in Atlanta (with a few process improvements), I will probably not go back (although I really wanted to keep supporting this place) as there are many restaurants to go to that are more covid friendly and established better processes for a relaxing...

Literally the worst dining experience I and my party has ever had!!! I wish I could give 0 stars.I will not be returning and I will tell my network not to ever come. Our night was absolutely ruined by this establishment. We had a reservation at 8pm. We arrived at 7:53pm checked the car into the complementary valet and went in to check in with the host. We informed the host that we had a 8pm reservation (which was written on paper, thus lacking organization and tracking) and we were told that there was a 30 minute wait. 🚩. While waiting, we noticed that there were open seats on the covered and heated patio, they didn't start sitting folks there until about 15 minutes into our wait. 🚩. Another party came in after us (at 8:25) and were sat before us (8:38). For this, we were told that they had a reservation before ours at 7:45 but that party came in past 8:25 which is well after the 15 minute grace period most restaurants give and at that point their reservation should have been canceled since there was a long line outside of the building of individuals waiting. 🚩. We were sat down at 8:41. No waiter came to our table and no water or drink was offered. The last red flag was that while we waited to be seated and once we were seated, most of the tables did NOT have food! 🚩.During our time there we only saw 3 dishes come out of the kitchen. The table directly next to us were upset bc they had finished their 1st course and were waiting for a while just for second course. At 8:50, we decided to leave not having any water or any type of acknowledgment from wait staff at the very least. We went to valet to get the car. When the attendant brought the car around he was demanding a tip and would not let go of the drivers door. We told him that 1. Parking is complementary (signage upon entry) and 2. That we had not eaten and were leaving due to the bad experience. His response was that people usually tip $10 to $15 and we needed to do the same.

This was and is the worst experience we have ever had! I usually try to give places a second chance after mediocre experiences but I will never be back and our Valentine's date was RUINED because of this restaurant. There was no apologizes for the wait and...

I went to this place on Christmas Day simply because it was the only restaurant open in the area. They were operating on a different menu (Pre-fixed 3 course) that I saw online and it was very expensive. Because the place seemed to have good reviews I didn’t mind it much. I went with my family of 8 ordered to bottles of wine and our meals. The food was very tasty however the portions were very minimal. Everything was going well until I received my bill. The bill came out to over $800 dollars. Now mind you I’m aware of the pricing so it’s not that I don’t want to pay however for what I ordered the bill should not be so high. I reviewed the bill and found that I was overcharged excessively. First there was some fee that was added to my bill that was never disclosed to me and was not clear on the bill. When I questioned it they told me it was a fee that all restaurants are charging in the area till today I don’t even know what the fee was for but I made Management remove it because it was never disclosed and they couldn’t even properly explain what it was. In addition I ordered two bottles of wine and I was overcharged for both of them the menu had one price however they charge me for something completely different that was way more money. They also charged me for an additional meal that I did not have. The worst part is that when I wanted to speak to management regarding it the way that they handled it was not appropriate. The gentleman in charge seemed annoyed that I was bringing it up, and never apologized. What was odd about all of this is that he was also our waiter and when we arrived he was being very nice and welcoming but when I brought issues to his attention he did a 360 and was completely rude and annoyed. He never offered any gesture to make it better and at the end of it my bill was $200 less. They did charge me 18% gratuity because I had a party of six which is fine for the experienced that I had I wish I had the ability to tip myself because it would’ve been much lower. In my opinion not a good restaurant very shady. If people are not looking at their bill when they leave and are just paying most likely they’re being overcharged and don’t...

Go here it's so awesome I'm so surprised more people don't know about this place. However since considering it's a somewhat small restaurant you'd probably want to get there early so you can park properly and all that. So when we were first seated our water was poured and all that we ordered our appetizers and then the lady came back to get our entrees. First they gave their house bread(it honestly just taste like a fancy pizza) and I'm pretty sure that was complementary. For appetizers we got calarmari and crabcakes (comes with 3 crabcakes) it was very good and the sauce with the calamari was delectable. We even got another order of crabcakes that's how good they were. Then we got our entrees (I ordered the Mediterranean kebob w/ jasmine rice) it was alright one of my meats were little bit pink even though I wanted well done but I just ate around. Just when I thought this couldn't get any better they had this man who played the guitar and was singing (he was singing all the classic bops💃🏽). We order dessert (I ordered chocolate mousse and my family ordered the tiramisu) and that was also another good thing. I've never tasted tiramisu and I implore whoever comes to eat here to try it (but if you dont like an espresso/ coffee taste you might not enjoy it). However sometimes the waiter would forget what we asked for and she didn't ask what drinks we wanted and everytime we try to get her she always zoom off before we get the chance (not intentionally).

Thank you so much to Joseph and his wonderful staff for helping to celebrate my MIL's 50th birthday. We had a wonderful time and we'll definitely be back. I just want to share that if anyone ever needs reservations for any occasion I would recommend Basil's every time. There are no extra fees for bring cakes or reservations in general. It was super easy to plan everything with Joseph and i'm so glad we were able to have this celebration at a wonderful restaurant. The staff were super attentive and helpful throughout the night making sure we were comfortable. We were given complimentary mini flatbread appetizers for the table (I didn't get to take any pictures of them but they were DELICIOUS) The food was absolutely amazing. I got the fusilli margarita pasta, my fiancé got the North GA trout, and my sister got the paella de mariscos. My MIL got the lamb loin chops. The food was so fresh and fragrant. I tried the strawberry mockito and it was really good. If you like mint, you will love it. It's really refreshing with the fresh strawberries in it. My little sister got the peachy iced tea and she said the flavors were balanced. I would recommend Basil's to everyone and for all occasions. They will take care of you and you will not leave disappointed. I will definitely be back with my fiancé for dinner lunches/dates in the future ❤️
