This review is on the customer service, the cookies are really good. I was debating whether or not to even bother writing a review but I decided to go ahead in hopes that someone in management who actually cares will see this. I went to Insomnia Cookies Sunday April 29th around 11:00pm. This was my 3rd time going and I was bringing a friend with me this time because I had been raving about how good the cookies were. We walk inside and he is super excited so he starts asking the cashier different questions about the options and is met with vague and dry responses. He tells the cashier âthis is my first time hereâ and the cashier flatly said âohâ and that was it. Nonetheless we were there so we decided to order. We wanted to order the deluxe peanut butter cup cookie but there were none in the window so we asked if they were all gone and a girl behind the counter says âthatâs all we have is whatâs right thereâ. Literally 5 seconds later another girl comes up and says âwhat cookie are you guys looking for?â and we tell her. She says âI have some right hereâ and pulls out a baking sheet with the cookies on them. By this time we were questioning whether we should even stay but my friend really wanted to try the cookies so we did. We ended up splitting an ice cream sandwich with the peanut butter cup cookies. When we received the sandwich we noticed the ice cream was minimal, nothing like the picture. We shrugged it off and started eating. It was really good but when we got about halfway through the ice cream was just about gone. That was very disappointing to the point where I didnât even want to finish it. My friend decides to ask for another scoop of ice cream (that he was willing to pay for) and they tell him it will cost him $4.00. So we paid $8.00 for an ice cream sandwich with barely any ice cream on it and you want to charge us $4.00 for the extra ice cream we should have received in the first place??? To top it all off everyone in the store had a nasty attitude, it was like they all hated their jobs. Hopefully management will see this review and get some customer service training for the people that were working that night. I left the store vowing to never go back as well as never recommend them to anyone. This experience was beyond disappointing. Iâve worked in customer service for over 10 years and Iâve seen firsthand that a good product with poor service is...
Read moreI love insomnia cookies... BUT the staff working at this store were so dismissive and disrespectful. I placed an order at 715pm for 8pm. I arrived at 740pm and sat in my car until i received a text that my order was ready. I called the number that said call for curbside service. With seven workers in the bldg, i was told they were too short staffed for curbside. I came in, gave my name to first person who went in back, couldn't find my order so he came back to front to help the next customer. Mind you he did not address me. Five minutes later, now 805pm, another person asked my name, again went to the back but never returned. At 810pm i asked the first person about my order he says he don't know about my order and was trying to help someone else. Then at 815 the 2nd person came up front and asked what did i want, i said i wanted some follow up on whats going on with my order, she just exhaled and walked off. Finally, a 3rd person asks my name and finds my ticket but tells me that they were out of the cookies i order and i had to wait 10-12 more minutes, this was after i watched 10 ppl walk-in, order, and get cookies. I told her that i wanted a refund for my order because it was ridiculous how i was treated from the moment i came in the door. $28 for cookies but horrible customer service is unacceptable. Busy is not an excuse to treat customers badly. I was given a copy of an email to cancel and refund my order. The email says the reason for cancel is because i did not want to wait. No! My reason for canceling is the way i was treated, as if me being a paying customer wanting to know whats going on with my order, was an inconvenience. Piss poor customer service, you would think being bless with a job during these times would make ppl a bit more...
Read moreItâs been a while since Iâve been to Insomnia - Midtown, but my Bestfriend is addicted to their cookies so we had to go.
The parking is still trash as always. Lol. This is an ideal location to walk to if youâre close. However, I double parked (forgive me) and ran inside.
Walking into Insomnia - Midtown is like walking into a cookie dream. All you smell is sugar, cream, vanilla, and a burst of almonds. It smells sooooooooo good. As I was trying to be good, the menu forced me to break all my calorie rules and order 3 cookies. lol!!!! Anddddd, the menu made me download the app because it was looking at me and saying âyou know you want to sign up for rewards!â Also, itâs purple which is my favorite color. lol!
The store had a line, but the staff was working quickly so it moved fast. Getting up to the counter, the cashier was very pleasant and took my order.
I ordered the Snickerdoodle, White Chocolate Macadamia, and an Oatmeal Raisin. Once my order was placed, my cookies were in the box and presented to me before I was even done paying. Thatâs what you call service!!!!
I got in the car, opened my Cookes and OMGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!! I have no idea what happened. I was minding my business tasting my Snickerdoodle and when I looked up⊠ALL THREE COOKIES WERE GONEEEEEEEE. Mind you⊠my Bestfriend was still eating his first cookie and my three were gone. I think the box ate them!!!!! Ha.
These cookies are amazing. You canât ask me which one is the best as that is not a fair question. With such cookie perfection my admiration for each flavor profile is unwavering. Ha. However⊠my favorite cookie overall is ALLTHREE in one Box. HeHeHe
Dear Insomnia - MidtownâŠ...
