This will be our last time at J. Christopher's. After numerous visits, we've found the combination of service, timeliness, and food quality to be below average just about every time. There is always at least one let down when going here. On today's visit, we were a party of two. We were greeted by the host with a "Give us 5 minutes and we'll clear something off." There were 5+ open tables. After waiting 5 minutes, the host comes over and asks what our name was. I told him he didn't take our name. He proceeds to take our name and put it at the bottom of the list, below people whom had arrived after us. Those people were then seated before us, in the previously open tables. After waiting a full 15 minutes to be seated, service starter out okay, but wound up being very poor. The waitress took our order relatively promptly, but this would be just about the last we'd see of her. Without checking on us at all after our food was delivered, she finally came over to ask "One check or two?" That's all she said. Seriously lack of caring about the customer. The service was excessively slow. It took us an hour and twenty minutes from getting there to leaving. The food this time was okay, but just about every other time we've been here, the food is mediocre at best. Today, my coffee had a half spoonful of grounds in it. Overall, there is always at least one let dow with J Christopher's and I think we've finally had enough. There are way too many quality other brunch places around Atlanta for us to spend our time and money here.

As I came I was greeted by the hostess, and was seated in my requested spot in less than 2 minutes. I thought I would’ve been waiting because of reviews that I’ve read. So I was very happy about that. I sat down and then I was greeted by a waitress, a few minutes later. Their greet was unwelcoming to me because they did not say there name nor ask if I had any questions about the menu. It kind of made the experience uncomfortable because once I said I wasn’t ready to order yet, they kept watching me at the counter. Once I ordered and got my food, the waitress never came by and ask me if I was doing okay or if I needed anything else. I’m not sure if they were having a bad day or they were tired from the day before, but regardless you should provide the best service to your clients. The food to me was mediocre, I ordered the veggie delight and it tasted a little dry. It needed more cheese in my honest opinion. The home fries were okay, but there wasn’t anything else like onions or scallions anything to compliment the taste. I found that very interesting. But everyone’s different when it comes to cooking. I requested a pancake instead of a breakfast muffin, and the taste was tolerable. I would like to have a second experience here but for now this my honest review.

The beginning of the day sets the tone for all that follows, and a good breakfast is the vital ingredient that launches us into action—a fuel to our rocket, if you will. In my quest for the perfect morning meal, I stumbled upon J Christopher's, a beacon of breakfast brilliance, and oh boy, am I glad I made that stop. Their menu was a delightful smorgasbord of options, beckoning me to indulge in a little bit of everything. I kicked things off with a piping hot cup of joe, the quintessential companion to any breakfast adventure. As I delved into the culinary delights before me, I found the food to be nothing short of spectacular. To my delight, they even had grits on offer—an enigma to my taste buds, but with a sprinkle of salt and pepper, they transformed into a savory sensation (though I must admit, I'm not entirely certain if that's considered legal or not in the realm of grits expertise). Wholeheartedly, I recommend this establishment to fellow breakfast enthusiasts. With such a robust menu, I am left with a multitude of tantalizing options to explore on future visits. The journey to sample their diverse offerings promises to be a breakfast odyssey worth embarking upon.

HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND! A BETTER DINING EXPERIENCE IS ONLY 2 BLOCKS AWAY AT THE FLYING BISCUIT!

After taking a few days to heal from my traumatic experience dining here, I feel it is of the up most importance that I share my horrific experience with perspective patrons.

I made the decision to visit this establishment solely off of the raving reputation and exceptional dining experience I had at the Savannah, GA location. I bragged so heavily about my experience, that I convinced my friend who had never dined at any J. Christopher 's to join me for breakfast 6/26/2021. We entered the restaurant and was seated by the host(s)/ess(es) outside in front of the restaurant. After being seated, we were approached by our waiter(s)/tress(es) who did not introduce him/her/them-self(ves) (it wasn't until the check was brought to the table that my friend and I learned his/her/their name was Rett). We asked for tea and water; we never received our water. I have special dietary restricts. While asking for substitutions that answer was always no. I finally settled for the turkey and avocado skillet and figured I could just eat 50% of what I was paying for. The skillet was made incorrectly. The waiter(s)/tress(es) never approached to ask if the food was to our satisfaction or if we needed anything else. It took all of 20 minutes to get someone to approach our table close enough to flag them down and inform them of the error. Bradley took my skillet back to the kitchen to be remade. Bradley return shortly after to inform us that he was not received well while trying to help rectify the matter. An eternity later my skillet comes back out with hot eggs on top and the cold potatoes and now brown avocado on the bottom. I was disgusted at the point. Rett finally decides to return to our table to deliver our checks. I am a hour into the dining experience, still hungry AND THIRSTY (water was never brought to the table; tea is now cold and my friend and I was not offered to have our tea refreshed nor given the chance to request) I let Rett know that the order was still made incorrectly. Rett then storms away and shorty after the assumed manager approaches the table aggressively (no introduction/greeting to inform us of name and association to establishment; I had to ask (Yvonne). I explain my issue. Yvonne takes the check and states the matter will be handled but Yvonne never returned to the table. Rett returned to give an insincere apology that came with excuses an what seemed like a cry for attention: Rett stated: "I had a lot going on in my head and that [we] should understand mistakes happen" unacceptable. Bradley return to apologize for the ordeal even though Bradley had no true involvement in the matter . Yvonne approaches Bradley and says in a loud, condescending manner "You have tables...; Go do your job!) I was extremely embarrassed for Bradley as this was not only in front of the other dinners but we are outside, in front of the restaurant, on the sidewalk where others are looking on and passing by in their vehicles. My friend check sat on the table as we waited for someone to collect payment for her meal. We were forced to go inside to see what was going on with the bill or the food to be told by the host(s)/ess(es) that the bill was taken care of; Yvonne never came back to inform us of anything. I feel as though my friend and I were discriminated against being that it seemed that we were the only patrons of color and which seemed to be proven true by the treatment I witnessed towards their only staff member of color (Bradley). The entire matter was extremely senseless and demoralizing and I assure you I will never dine at the...

Absolutely terrible! As a former Atlanta native my best friend and I were in town and decided to drop by for breakfast. Upon arrival we were greeted by two ladies in the front who directed us to sit at the patio. Our waiter came by (Rhett) to take our order. He did not introduce himself nor bring us water. We put in our orders and it was downhill from that. No check in afterwards.. no condiments. I had to ask for silverware on several occasions by different waiters walking by.. still no water.. no hospitality at all. I’m use to being asked how my meal is? .. if there’s anything else they can do? If there’s anything else we need? Ect. Once my friends food came out incorrectly it was downhill from there. We had to flag down THREE different waiters before ours was called. By then another waiter (Bradley) came over and grabbed the food to be remade. The food was NOT remade instead sunny side up eggs were placed on top of the SAME turkey and avocado scramble that was cold! How do you simply scrape off eggs and add fresh eggs to COLD food? completely unacceptable as at this time almost 30 minutes had passed from when the first meal came out! It took another 15 minutes to get a manager to come and speak to us. Bradley stated he tried to rectify the situation and Yvonne the manager did not receive him well. When the manager Yvonne came out to speak with us her tone was very condescending and brash. She apologized for the confusion, offered to comp the meal, and stated she would be back for the updated receipts. We were on separate tickets. We waited another 20 minutes for her to come back and she did not. Rhett our original waiter came by to apologize but was NOT apologetic at all. Instead he made excuses for “being busy” “having a lot going on” and that we must understand “everyone makes mistakes”. My friend and I both work in healthcare and mistakes are often deadly. That’s NOT an excuse. The icing on the cake is when Bradley the waiter who attempted to rectify the situation in the beginning (he was not our original waiter) came over to apologize for the entire ordeal. He simply did a phenomenal job with addressing our concerns and explaining the staffing issue and asking us to be patient they are doing their best. As he was speaking with us Yvonne the manager intercepted the conversation to belittle him by saying “you need get back inside you have tables .. you need to do your job” . It was completely uncalled for and unacceptable to speak to staff in that manner in front of customers. I have also reached out to corporate regarding my concerns. I won’t be back as neither of us no longer live in the area and wanted to try this establishment based on rave reviews at the...

I have been going to J Christophers for a while now and today was my worst experience ever that will most likely sway me to never return.

I called in an order for the Turkey Dijon BLT with turkey bacon and a side salad. When I arrived to pick up my order, I noticed the side salad had pork bacon on it, so I inspected the sandwich and saw that the sandwich had turkey bacon.  The fact that the side salad had bacon on it was something new to me because out of all the times that I have ordered this off the menu, I have never had bacon on the salad.  When I questioned Kyra about the pork bacon being on the salad, her response was, “You just asked for turkey bacon on the sandwich, not the salad.” Then she just walked off so abruptly. I waited for her to return, and I asked, “Why would you think I would want turkey bacon on my sandwich and not on my salad. I didn’t even know it came with bacon because it hasn’t been on there in the past.” She looked at me and shrugged her shoulders and said, “I didn’t even know that salad came with bacon so I didn’t know to tell them turkey bacon, oh well.” At that point, I was so disgusted with the lack of empathy and the attitude I was receiving, I asked for a refund.  Shortly after, Ronna walked over and asked what was wrong and as I explained the situation, her only response was, all the salads have bacon on them and it says it on the menu.

I re-iterated that I’d just prefer a refund because at this point, as a customer, I should never feel like I am being questioned on your mistake that was easy to fix if you cared. While I was talking to Ronna, Kyra walks over and throws money on the counter and walks off. I looked and asked, “Is this for me?” Kyra rudely responded, “Yeah, that’s your $13!”

I am in rage with the lack of empathy and professionalism these employees have displayed!  I have experienced Kyra’s rude temperament before, but not to this magnitude. This time has definitely topped all the others and I don't care to spend my money where the customer is not...
