We went to this place over a week ago as I was in the mood for seafood and crab legs. When I called to place my order over the phone I spoke to the young lady they said was NEW. I ordered 1 of the 3 colossal more crabs and shrimp plate. Now it said you get 1lb of shrimp and my husband and I did not want all of that shrimp. I asked the lady if we could swap out the shrimp for a side and she told me no. So I asked her how many do you get with a pound and she said 30 shrimp.
Lol we got nowhere near 30 and found out later that wasn't true. I also ordered 2 sides, one was Cajun rice, crab mac n cheese, and 8 count boudin. They took my credit card information over the phone. Also one thing noted the music was abnormally loud and when we got there it was no better. It took us 30 mins to get there and when we were 5 mins away that's when we got a text letting us know the food was done. When we walked in we dealt with the young lady that took our phone order. She said this is your order and I looked and knew that couldn't be right. First off there were no sides with it so I let her know and she goes back to get them. Forgetting our boudin balls.
She brings the dirty rice and mac n cheese and my husband and I looked at each other confused. For the price the portions were SMALL. Like Popeyes large sides were bigger. I questioned her twice about the price and size because on their menu they advertise dinner sizes plus the price of them are 14.99, and16.99. She says "they told me these are the large sides". This lady said to me over the phone "let me see if we even have the large containers", I could hear her ask the guy next to her if they had some and he lied and said yes. I asked to speak to a manager and they all said there wasn't one on duty but the young lady walked off like she was getting one.
Some guy with curly long hair comes creeping around the corner to us and I asked him if he is a manager and he said no but that he's the lead cook or something. The music was so loud and I was talking with my mask on that I had to basically yell the conversation to him. I told him for the price of the sides this can't be the large dinner portion as again these containers are small. During the conversation he admitted they ran out of large containers and I asked when did they run out and he told me the day before. I told him the woman on the phone told me they still had large containers before adding them.
So they knowingly lied to us. At that point I just wanted my money back and they could have the funky nasty sides but he refused saying "we don't give refunds". Say what now? I've never been to a restaurant that has a no refunds policy but they should put that on the door and menu. So what he did was give two extra containers to make up. I had to remind him we ordered boudin so we had to wait extra for them to get those. When we drove all the way home, opened the container with the meal and saw we didn't get everything that was supposed to come with it. We only got 1 egg instead of 2, 1 sausage instead of 2, and one corn. Mind you this cost me $118 and some change.
Tried calling the establishment 4 times from my cell phone and they wouldn't answer. They deliberately did that because your number is in their system. I called from my husband's phone and they answered on the first ring lol. I politely asked for a manager and the guy pretended like he couldn't hear me and kept saying "huh huh hello" and then finally said "there isn't one available call back on Tuesday" and he hung up on me. I tried calling several other times and got the same treatment. So I hit up their FB page and within minutes got a call back from the owner.
She apologized, said she would refund me for the portions that were wrong, and put in for another meal. It took over a week just to get a refund and was again given the runaround. IMO you're really paying for the name and Titi advertising it. It's overpriced and not worth it. We went elsewhere and got more for...
Read moreThis past weekend my girls and I decided to try the new spot that everyone has been raving about. Super excited! The night started off as all others. We pulled into the parking lot and noticed a line about 15-20 people deep. We walked to the line and ask the young lady assisting with taking names, how long it's going to be to get in? She says15 minutes.....thinking to ourselves not bad at all we add our names to the list, LEXI PARTY OF 5! She also offers to take a number from one of the people in the group so that they can text us when our table is ready. We wait 30 minutes with NO TEXT! We check back with the door attendant who assures us that we should be getting called in any minute now. Another 20 minutes goes by before we're called in to the establishment. Once in, we have to sit down AND WAIT once more to be seated. This time the wait is only about 15-20 minutes. After that time we are seated. Once seated we waited 45-60 minutes before our waiter takes our order. Upon ordering, we are asked to pay for our meal (NO CASH, no Cash App cards, cards only). Now it's 5 young ladies in our party.....we wait 30-minutes for one of our guest to receive her meal. Another 20-30 minutes goes by before guest 2 receives her meal. Guest number 3 gets her food roughly 15-20 minutes later (Spongebob vc lol).....now guest number 3 is deathly allergic to tomatoes which is why when she ordered her meal, she asked that they specifically be left out! Well that was a pointless plea considering the first thing we notice on her Shrimp Po Boy is tomatoes. Her meal of course has to be sent back.Guest number 4 receives her Sausage Po Boy 30 minutes or so after guest number 3 with a side of fries. The meals looks delicious.....too bad she ordered it with a side of seafood rice. And last but not least almost 3.5 hours after receiving arriving at this fine establishment, I receive the COMPLETELY wrong order. I ordered a 10 piece of shrimp with sausage and potatoes. A meal that I did not deviate a bit from the menu, instead I received fried fish, shrimp and fries. I end up having to speak with the manager who tries to brush the whole BAD experience under the rug by saying they have only been open for 2 weeks, ignorance is not an excuse. The one good thing about my experience is that I was able to get a refund but hell I didn't eat! After 4 plus hours I left starving, hurt and disappointed.....needless to say I WILL...
Read moreI was in Atlanta for my sister’s wedding. I decided to stay a couple extra days to celebrate my birthday. I begged my sister to take me to Krab Queenz because I am a HUGE FAN OF Kway/TeTe. We walked in and Literally stood at the front to be seated for 10 mins. Working in a restaurant I know that is totally unacceptable. So I saw the bar and told my sister let’s just walk to the bar because bars are usually self seating. The host or manger not sure of her role but she stopped us as we approached the bar and asked “can I help you”? I stated we waited up front to be seated and asked if we could sit at the bar. She replied yes and we sat down. We sat at the bar for another 10 minutes before anyone came up. The bartender came over brought water and gave us menus. There were no suggestions made no conversation just here you go and he walked away. As I observed the atmosphere I saw the staff sitting, eating, talking amongst each other and on their cellphones. We finally placed our drink order and food order and was told we had to pay before we received our food and drinks. I thought that was a little weird but okay I never been here. After waiting 50 minutes with no food Melvin comes over and say we don’t have any fish for your order. I asked was the rest of our food ready so we could share that while deciding on something else to replace what they did not have. He said yes and went in the kitchen. He then comes out with the people food who sat next to us and came in about 20 minutes after we had already placed our order. He then said our food was in the window and did not come out with it for another 10-15 minutes. Working in a restaurant I know that this is so unacceptable! To come from another state and go through this was the worst. This was bY far the worst restaurant experience I have ever experienced. I will never spend my money with this brand and I am encouraging my friends not to as well. Oh and he also did mot make the people who received there food before us pay before their experience! Wow is all I can say! The only good thing was Melvin was...
