I’ve been hearing about Taste on Pine but hadn’t had a chance to stop in, however, last night; I was in thurrrrrrrrrrrrrr. LoL!!!!!
It sits on the corner which is perfect for finding a parking spot as you have two streets to choose from. This made parking easy which is always a good thing. Walking up, there is security out front which is much appreciated as the area can be hit or Miss after dark. Security was very professional and welcomed us into the establishment.
As soon as you walk in, it’s a total vibeeeeeeeeeee. The ambiance is vibrant. The staff is upbeat. The color selections on the wall make the space mysterious while the neon lighting makes it pop. It’s a visual balance of date night and turn up all in one… The floor plan is open, so we had no preference on where to sit.
Once seated, Tone greeted us and welcomed us in. Of course, Markus immediately ordered his Hookah as I ordered my Sweet Tea. LoL! Though they took a minimalist approach to the menu, they covered every main desire. There are wings, pasta options, salmon, and even a rice bowl. Nothing overly complex, yet still simple without being plain.
For dinner, I decided to be simple with 10 Wings and Fries. For those who love the small wings, this is your spot. The wings are the smaller party sized wings (as of 06.29.24), they were perfectly fried and had the right amount of SweetHeat on them. The fries are the shoestring fries and were golden fried and perfectly seasoned. The food was good and did what was needed for a simple meal… Next time I go I want to try the salmon. 😝
As we were wrapping our night, Mark, one of the owners stopped by to greet us and check on us. This was truly appreciated as a representation of Great Service. As Tone was an attentive waiter, then to meet one of the co-owners who took time to say hello, it’s action items such as this that will keep me coming back.
If you're in the area and looking for a Vibe or a Meal, Taste on Pine is a stop you must make. Come for the Food, stay for the...

As a content creator who truly values my work it SUCKS when business owners cannot keep their word about respecting your boundaries. My boyfriend and I did a collaboration with Taste on Pine. Our agreement was that we would post a video directly to our page and add them as a collaborator. If they wanted our video to be sent to them directly for their own marketing purposes we would have to discuss usage rights and pricing. There were several agreements and understanding on our collaboration. Time after time Taste on Pine decided to violate our rights and post our video without our permission. Our downloads are off on all social media platforms. If you have to screen record our video then that should tell you that you shouldn’t be doing it. We reached out to the restaurant and asked them to take the video down and explained our side. Our message was ignored for WEEKS. We left comments on videos and they would comment back to others but ignore us. Finally after making a public post, the video was taken down but we received no message from them. No sorry or acknowledgement. This is such bad business practice. Content creators are taken advantage of all the time by business owners and we just bite the bullet. Never take anyone word or think written agreement in your messages are enough when it comes to your time and work. Always have a contract signed!
OLD REVIEW: We really enjoyed our recent visit to Taste on Pine for their $5 crab leg special! The crab legs were meaty and flavorful, and it’s a great deal if you’re a seafood lover. The drinks were visually appealing, though some of the signature cocktails had a bit of inconsistency in flavor. The upcoming speakeasy and full dance floor are exciting additions, and we’re looking forward to seeing how they enhance the vibe. The only downside is the limited free street parking; it fills up quickly and feels a bit sketchy, so just be cautious. Overall, a fun spot to check out! For more, check out our video on IG...
Read moreI guess I'll start with the greetings at the entry. The security gave me a cool vibe. No "Power Drunk" guys, just cool and welcoming but you can tell they're equipped to handle problems. $20 entry on a Monday night is debatable but not bad for the crowd. The shrimp Alfredo was awesome and came fast. I paid at time of order. My bill for hookah, cup of juice (I don't drink alcohol. I came alone which is why I didn't get bottle service), fries, and shrimp Alfredo came out to $103 with their added gratuity. I gave $120 and received no change back. I thought they might have brung it with the food or hookah but they didn't. That really wasn't a issue for me, I just observed. The hookah was great, it smoked well. The only REAL problem I had was that when the crowd started coming in one of the waitresses walks up to me and says, "YOU HAVE TO MOVE!" I asked the bartender when I ordered everything about how the tables worked. She did tell me I could sit but they're sold with bottle service and I might have to give up the table in event someone with bottle service needs it. Which is reasonable in my opinion. I just hated the way I was relocated. It caught me off guard because I thought she might of been asking me if I needed anything but that wasn't the case even after I moved to a different spot. No waitress service me in the whole 2hr.s I was there. Overall I give the place 4 stars because I don't think what happened to me is common. The holes in the couches doesn't bother me either but others might feel differently. They were still comfortable in my opinion. I'll give it another shot when I revisit....
