It’s McDonalds, typical McDonalds no reason to comment on the food. Employees have always been extra friendly nice and helpful. It’s just the wait times. They have the double drive thru (omg drives me nuts when you’re behind someone that feels like being super nice and let’s multiple cars in from the other lane, that’s the customers fault but makes me hate double drive thrus in general, it’s a stupid design, doesn’t save time, if anything risks costing extra time) - but it’s not even that, theyre quick to take your order it’s just getting it. Back in the day they’d occasionally tell you to pull ahead and they’d run it out maybe they just didn’t have that item ready yet because of an unexpected rush of demand for it and ran out briefly, ok that’s understandable. Then they painted lines specifically for pull ahead’s. That’s the point that it was obviously being done too much and no excuse, id think a company that had to be as smart as they are to get so big made a flaw they have and said oh well deal with it we suck at that. But whatever, it wasn’t so unusual so fine just so there’s no confusion where to pull up to or no ones blocking traffic I guess. Then they added another one in front of that. Marked lines to have 2 cars at once pull up waiting for they’re food so another can pull up to the window waiting - LOL don’t forget there’s 2 windows, the first one is to pay...this is just the getting your food part. So 3 cars pulled up now right? You’d wait on these spots several minutes too. Nothing’s moving so now the line behind them would just build up and build up. Late night I’ve seen it build up so long around the entire McDonalds and around the entire other side just about to the street entrance, and it’s a long parking lot. After midnight I’ve waiting 15-20 min and given up a few times the line barely moved didn’t even get near the speaker to order, just drove away went elsewhere, did wait once - entire time pulling in to driving out about 45 min. Second time - WARNING DONT GO AT LIKE 1 or 2 AM i forgot the exact time they said they do it every night - but they literally shut it down for like 15 min. to like do register stuff or something reset it the cash I don’t even know or care but it’s so obnoxiously rude. You’ll be on line, ordered already, at window 1, maybe 2, maybe pulled ahead waiting, who knows somewhere along there - i was at the 1st window right after I paid and BAM 15 min stand still. Like put the car in park, operation just shut down completely, nothing moving. Uhhh not to mention I already wasted a half hour and was hungry, I paid, i wasn’t about to drive away, McDonalds basically completely disregards your time it’s so rude. Like just wait there you have no choice at all whatsoever. They won’t give you your money back either they’re closed. Even if it’s 15 min a day it’s a complete lie then to say your open 24 hours. It’s my stupidity and my choice to waste that much time knowing how slow the line is to go but that just topped it off, I’ll never go around that time there ever ever ever again. So fast forward to about 2 months ago when they completely renovated and redesigned the entire place from the ground up inside and out... the 2 pull up spots were now thick lined boxes with signs now and they added parking spot. Yes. 2 pull up and wait after you ordered and pulled up to the window and nope not ready pull up and wait spots over to the right. Marked with reserve signs designated just for that. Ok so now going down the first aisle after that we have mobile order reserved spots - basically skip the line just to get to the pull up and sit and wait for your food spots. LOL so I gave that a chance and was exactly that. I saw others pull in, order, pay, get to the pick up roulette window where you find out if you get your food or not. Some did the entire process while I sat and watched, others waited aside with me, some came, some went, some stayed. LOL this is insanity. So now if I want McD’s, i pull in, any line at all I keep driving to...
Read moreI’ll never forget the day I ordered a Dr Pepper at McDonald’s, expecting the usual burst of that unique blend of 23 flavors. Instead, what I received was a watery, diluted mess. The first sip hit me like a wave of disappointment, a shadow of what Dr Pepper is supposed to be. It felt like a betrayal, as if all the joy and energy I was counting on to get through the rest of my day had been drained away along with the syrup. What was supposed to be a quick pick-me-up turned into the start of a downward spiral.
From that moment, everything seemed to go wrong. My productivity plummeted, my mood soured, and my ability to focus on work slipped away with every diluted sip. The frustration lingered long after the taste faded. I began questioning my decisions, starting with the small ones like trusting McDonald’s to deliver a decent soft drink, then slowly spiraling into deeper thoughts about my life choices. Something as simple as a poorly mixed Dr Pepper shouldn’t have had that much power over me, yet here I was, feeling as though my life had been derailed by a disappointing beverage.
In the weeks that followed, I found myself avoiding fast food restaurants altogether, fearing another run-in with a watery soda. It became a symbol of everything that had gone wrong—small disappointments building into larger issues. Relationships seemed to strain, deadlines became more overwhelming, and even the smallest of inconveniences felt magnified. That one watered-down Dr Pepper had planted a seed of dissatisfaction that grew and festered, leaving me with a bitter reminder of how even the smallest things can throw life completely...
Read moreI recently visited the 526 ponce de leon ave mcdonald's location on 12/6/22 at 3:28 AM. I placed a mobile order and proceeded to the speaker to give my code. When I got there, I said "Hello!" and heard a very loud yell "HOLD UP." I told her "Why are you yelling at me?" and she said "why are you saying Hello?" I then told her (very appalled that this was why this woman was yelling), "to let you know that I'm at the window." I then gave her my order number and when I approached the 1st window, I asked what her name was. She then looked at me straight in the face and closed the window and walked away to the 2nd window. At the second window she told me "Quisha, my name is Quisha!" and just stood there. I asked her if she had taken my order and she confirmed she did. There were 3 other workers around her. I then told her "That's all I need to know." She then responded "Oh, I know." I then asked to speak to a manager and with all the 4 staff there, the same woman who yelled at me at the speaker, said she was the manager. I was in disbelief. I live 3 minutes away and always come to this McDonalds and had never been treated so poorly by staff here. I truly hope that this message reaches a management that actually cares about their customers because the "management" I supposedly encountered, clearly did not. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone I know given what I experienced here on behalf of "management." NOTE: the receipt says "SIDEL" took my order. Please let me know if there is any more information, I can provide you. Also, find attached the receipt...
