I’m only sharing my experience, and in no way bashing the place of business.
It was supposed to be a night of fancy dining and exquisite steaks, but what we got instead was a comedy of errors and a disappointment on our plates.
As we drove up to the restaurant, we were greeted by a valet who kindly informed us that the lot was full and directed us to a parking lot three blocks away. However, as I looked through the window of the valet garage, I couldn't help but notice the ample amount of parking spots available, and my first red flag was raised.
After a long search for a parking spot, I finally arrived at the restaurant, only to find my date patiently waiting for the server to take our order. Unfortunately, no one had even approached her yet. I had to flag down one of the kitchen staff to locate the server and begin.
After waiting for what felt like an eternity, the server finally arrived and explained that the kitchen closes at 9:45 PM, and that we should rush to place our order. We never received menu’s to begin with, and had to search for our options online. Our appetizer arrived promptly, but the cheese on top was burnt and hard to cut. When the entrees finally came out, they were lukewarm and lacking the included ingredients that were listed on the menu, such as a simple butter condiment and bacon on the Brussels sprouts.
To add insult to injury, the server didn't even bother to check if we received the correct steak temperatures or if we were missing any components. It was as if the cooks rushed to get our meals out as quickly as possible, and it showed in the lack of quality and flavor.
We waited an absurd amount of time for our drinks, which were eventually made only after I had to take matters into my own hands and walk to the bar to request them myself. Luckily, they were the only highlight of the entire dining experience - strong and flavorful.
Despite our best efforts to stay optimistic, we simply couldn't bear to continue eating the lukewarm and flavorless steaks. Our server didn't waste any time in offering us a box and the check, which was exorbitant at $130, and to add insult to injury, they had the audacity to add a 20% gratuity charge, which was completely unfair given the level of service and food we received.
All in all, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking good service or quality steaks. From my perspective, it was an understaffed and poorly managed establishment, and our experience was not worth the time or...
Read moreWent there for brunch and wasn’t gonna leave a review because the person I went with lives in the building but my experience bothered me. Aside from us there was a party of about 2 or 3, packing up to leave and that was it. No one else was dining at the time yet it took our server Patrick about 10 minutes to great us. He took so long that we looked the menu up online. While greeting us he took his hand to wipe food off the table next to us with a few strokes, brushing the food on the ground. I was appalled. He did this all while greeting us, didn’t even bother to come to the table and formally introduce himself. From there I ordered a mimosa. He took 10 minutes to bring water and left no straw so we couldn’t drink. By this time 25 minutes have passed, no straw to drink the water, no food ordered, and yet he got upset when I asked him for my mimosa. Keep in mind that we were now the ONLY table there. One person came to the bar for a food pickup but that was it. He was more concerned about ending his shift, which he expressed numerous times, due to being annoyed because we asked for a straws and then my mimosa. His demeanor and words of expression wasn’t great at all for a Sunday morning. His manners wasn’t pleasant at all and Patrick made our brunch uncomfortable as if we were begging for his service. His attitude shifted when he recognized my date from living in the building (wondering why he hasn’t seen them in a while.. yet to me it’s quite obvious). I’m in the industry so I love auto gratuity but with the guarantee of 18% tip, service these days are sub par. What happen to greeting in 2 minutes, or pre bussing so we don’t have to stare at dirty tables during our entire meal, and overall what happened to the good customer service satisfaction overall? For the prices, atmosphere, and area, I expected much...
Read moreI arranged a girl's night dinner here and it was just ok. The first issue arose with valet not being available then when they did show up, the service was terrible and the guy was attempting to "charge" people though parking is free for restaurant patrons (thankfully the manager handled that later). Once in the restaurant, our server was ok. She was initially very attentive but then began slacking as the evening went on. I think she had one other large table but it seems like we kept getting left for long periods of time. The drinks were decent though they should stop putting raw fruit into the drink without asking first...it waa a mushed mess in two of the ladies beverages. The food came out pretty quick but most was subpar. The "truffle" fries had a spritz of truffle oil but lacked elements to make them truly truffle fries and we'd all had better, the brussel sprouts were overcooked, the mac and cheese was soupy, the oysters Rockefeller shells were crumbled in the sauce, the mussels were a little salty, the fried sushi lacked all flavor, the lamb chops needed chimichurri or something...definitely not what we were expecting. Once we finished our meals and the waitress finally came back, she tried to keep our bill together and tell us we were wrong despite what the website and menu said (we had 5 people, not 6). When she did separate it, she kept the 20% "service fee" even for those whose bill did not come up to $100 and didn't take off the items that were sent back to the kitchen. We were tired of waiting for her to come back at that point and just paid to leave.
Overall, we went to try some place none of our group had been, we can say we have, and move on to...
